Grace Clifford Knaur

The 1921 Denison City Directory carried this listing: "J. S. Knaur Company, Real Estate, 428-1/2 West Main Street. Mrs. Grace Knaur, Florence K. Hoyle, J. Hedden Camp." There were, of course, two Grace Knaurs, wives of the Knaur brothers. Grace C. Knaur was the wife of John Simon Knaur. It seems likely that this was the Grace involved here. Apparently she got involved in the real estate business for a brief period, or perhaps her husband wanted help managing his real estate holdings. The enterprise was not listed in future city directories.
