FOUR GENERATIONS
Special to the Democrat

TOM BEAN - - Known over the community as "Aunt Titia", Mrs. Letitia Lackley celebrated her ninety-fifth birthday here this month. Because she had suffered a fall four weeks ago and had not quite recovered from the injuries received, Mrs. Lackey spent the day quietly, receiving only her children and grandchildren from Tom Bean and the county.

Four generations of the Lackey family are represented in the picture above. Mrs. Lackey's son, G. A. Lackey of Sherman is standing behind her, and to his right is his son, G.D. Lackey. Richard Lackey is the youngest member of the group.

Mrs. Lackey is a native of Kentucky, coming to Texas when she was twenty-two. She was married to H. A. Lackey the next year and the couple lived for many years on their farm near White Mound. She has lived a very active life and in later years has devoted much time to cultivating flowers. She is the mother of four children, Mrs. G. C. Fogle of Whitewright, Mrs. Sue Minor, Tom Bean, A. L. Lackey of Brookston and G. A. Lackey of  Sherman. She has ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
