Arthur Mason Mosse, Sr. (1876 - 1961) was born in Toronto, Canada on February 20, 1876, the son of William Turner Mosse and Margaret LaGrow. As an infant, he, his four siblings, and his parents migrated to Texas.

In Denison, Texas Arthur married Nina Maude Stout (1878 - 1959), daughter of John P. Stout and Mary Malone, on June 26, 1897.  Nina had come to Denison at the age of twelve and was educated there.  Children of Arthur Mason Mosse and Nina Maude Stout are:
