Dr. William Wiley Salisbury 
Dr. William
Wiley Salisbury was born on December 20, 1826 in
Brown Co., Ohio. He died after 1880 in
Denison, Grayson Co., Texas (residence in 1880
census). In the early 1870s, he was
superintendent of the Arctic Ice
Manufacturing Company in Denison, Texas
(Denison City Directory, 1876-1877). William married Lucinda
Patten, daughter of James Patten and
Nancy Gorrell, on May 10, 1853 in Putnam Co.,
Illinois. Lucinda was born about 1831 in Brown
Co., Ohio. She died after 1880 in Denison,
Grayson Co., Texas (residence in 1880 census). They had the following children: 1. Charles E.
Salisbury was born
on April 19, 1857 in Ohio. He died on August
29, 1942 in Orange Co., California. Charles
married Addie Howell
about 1885. Addie was born in December 1867 in
Missouri. 2. Edward
Salisbury was born in February
1859 in Ohio. He died on December 6, 1909 in
San Antonio, Bexar Co., Texas. He was buried
on December 7, 1909 in San Antonio, Bexar Co.,
Texas. Edward married Nina.
Nina was born about 1876 in Texas. She died
after April 26, 1910 in San Antonio, Bexar
Co., Texas (residence in 1910 census). 3. Lizzie
Salisbury was born about
1859 in Ohio. She died after 1880 in Denison,
Grayson Co., Texas (residence in 1880 Census). 4. Lula C.
Salisbury was born in
November 1864 in Danville, Knox Co., Ohio. She
died on September 24, 1948 in Guthrie, Logan
Co., Oklahoma. Lula married Ralph
Richard Carlin on June 23, 1885 in
Denison, Grayson Co., Texas. Ralph was born in
June 1863 in Iowa. He died after June 8 1900
in Guthrie, Logan Co., Oklahoma (residence in
1900 census). Charlotte
Arminda Salisbury
was born on May 2, 1840 in Brown
Co., Ohio. She died on June 3. 1877 in Near
Quenema, Osage Co., Kansas. She was a sister
of Dr. William Wiley Salisbury (see separate
file). Charlotte married Thomas
Lovejoy Rankin on May 12, 1862
in Brown Co., Ohio. Thomas was born on January
16, 1839 in Ripley, Brown Co., Ohio. He died
on November 22. 1915. He was a major inventor
of refrigeration technology, holding dozens of
patents. They had the following children: 1. Ola Rankin was
born in 1863 in Brown Co., Ohio. 2. Lily J. Rankin
was born on November 11, 1867 in Ripley, Brown
Co., Ohio. She died on May 12, 1940. 3. Lulu Rankin was
