Herman Lee Miller

Houston—Herman Lee Miller, 69, of Houston, died Thursday, May 20, 1999.

He was born April 6, 1930, in Blessing, to the late John and Isabel Irving Miller. He was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church. He was a retired teacher, served in the U. S. Army, was Usher Board at Jerusalem Baptist Church, was a member of Houston Harris County Retired Teachers Association where he served as treasurer, was a substitute Spanish teacher at San Jacinto College and was a driving instructor for 50-year-olds and older.

Survivors: sisters, Peardee Wright and Ann Gills, both of Houston; and brothers, Roy Miller of Blessing, J. B. Miller of Texas City and Leon Miller of Portland, Ore.

Preceded in death by: sisters, Lavern Thomas and Jessie Revis; and brothers, Samuel Miller, Ezell Miller and John Miller.

Visitation will be held 7 to 9 p. m. tonight at Jerusalem Baptist Church.

Services will be at Allenhurst Cemetery in Allenhurst. McCoy and Harrison Funeral Home, Houston, (713) 659-7618.

Pallbearers: Billy Revis, Alphonse Revis, Isaac Wright, Kenneth Miller, Alvin Gills, Darrell Miller, Carleton Revis and Ronald Revis.
