Angelique Learline Bigelow Jordan
December 19, 1993 - January 13, 2015

Angelique Learline Bigelow Jordan, “Angie”, age 21, went to meet her Lord and Savior on January 13, 2015.

Angie was raised in Palacios, attended Tidehaven High School, and graduated from Wharton County Junior College nuclear program in 2014. She currently resided in Victoria, TX.

Angie was born on December 19, 1993, in Metarie, Louisiana to the late Randy Bigelow and Cheryl Henson Bigelow .

Angie is survived by her husband, William “Billy” Palmer Jordan III, originally from Bay City, TX; her mother; brothers, Jarrett and Nicholas; sister, Stephanie;  grandparents, I.W. Henson and Learline Henson of Palacios, TX;  grandfather, Ronald R. Bigelow of Reserve, Louisiana; a host of nieces and nephews; uncle, Patrick Chris Henson of Hanover, Pennsylvania and uncle, Robert Craig Henson of Olivia, TX;  and Angie›s special friend and sister-in-law, Rebecca Immenhauser Bigelow.  She is also survived by her parents-in-law, Bill and Dana Jordan; and brothers-in-law Zachary Jordan of Bay City, Sean Jordan of Florida and Steven Jordan of Virginia.

Angie was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Mary Jo Smith of Lima, Ohio; and uncle, Donald Bigelow of Reserve, Louisiana.

Angie and Billy were married June 14, 2014. in Nauvoo, Illinois.

She was the recipient of the NRC Scholarship to the nuclear program at Wharton County Junior College.  She enjoyed giving back to the community and volunteered with the Matagorda County United Way, and participated in the community theater.

Angie was employed by South Texas Nuclear Project and is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Visitation was held Friday, January 16, 2015, at Taylor Bros Funeral Home, 2313 Avenue I, Bay City, TX.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, January 17, 2015, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2816 Carey Smith Blvd., Bay City Texas.

Interment followed at Ashby Cemetery in El Maton, TX.

Funeral Services For Miss Kelley Held Here Friday

Final rites for Miss Ada Ruby Kelley, 55, were held Friday in Taylor Brothers Funeral Home, the Rev. R. E. Black officiating.

Miss Kelley died March 14 at her home in Kerrville. She was buried in Ashby Cemetery.

The deceased is survived by two brothers, Fred Kelley of Matagorda and Bert Kelley of Angleton.

Bert Ross Kelley rites slated

Brazoria—Funeral services for Bert Ross Kelley, a long-time former resident of Brazoria, will be held at 2 p. m. Monday at the Brazoria Church of Christ with Mr. Jerry Wilburn officiating.

Kelley, 83, died Saturday at the Golden Age Manor nursing home in Houston. A retired guard at Clemens Prison Farm, he will be buried at the Ashby Cemetery in Matagorda County under the direction of Baker Funeral Home of Brazoria.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Beatrice Kelley of Houston; three daughters, Mrs. Fleta Mann and Mrs. Lutline Howard, both of San Antonio and Mrs. E. L. Wilson of Houston.

Also, four sons, Ross E. Kelley of Brazoria, Neil Kelley of San Diego, Calif., Ivon Kelley of Tucson, Ariz., and Delbridge Kelley of San Antonio.

Funeral Services For Accident Victim Held Here Tuesday
Gilbert E. Lane

Funeral services for Gilbert E. Lane, 3521 Fifth Street, were held Tuesday at the Calvary Baptist Church of Bay City.

Mr. Lane, killed in an auto accident near Angleton Sunday, was 41 years old.

The Revs. Victor O. Connelly and William Hughes were in charge of services. Burial was in the Ashby Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. G. E. Lane; his mother, Mrs. Lula Lane of Oakville; his daughter, Miss Peggy Lane of Bay City and a son, Tommie K. Lane also of Bay City.

Nancy Ruth Keller Lane
June 7, 1949 – Feb. 22, 2008

Nancy Ruth Keller Lane, 58, went to her heavenly reward on Friday, February 22, 2008.

She was born June 7, 1949, the youngest daughter of Don and Mary Sears Keller in Seminole, Texas. He was preceded in death by her father Don Elroy Keller, JR. Nancy moved to Bay City as a child where she meet and married Thomas Kent Lane on May 24, 1969. They have one daughter, Juliet H. Lane, who has been the joy of their life.

Nancy earned a degree in Dental Hygiene from Wharton County Junior College graduating as Valedictorian and was offered a scholarship to the University of Texas School of Dentistry. She practiced as a Registered Dental Hygienist for over 25 years in local dental offices. She loved her patients and teaching them good oral hygiene. Always with a smile, she was a favorite of the patients in all the offices she worked in.

Nancy, known as Ruthie to family members and friends, came to know Jesus as her Savior as a child. Her later life was a difficult one with many health complications. However, she was an inspiration to everyone with her determination and upbeat attitude. Nancy’s source of inner strength came from her deep faith. She was a member of First Christian Church of Bay City, where she was a deaconess, lead worship singing and playing guitar, taught children’s music, and served on the board. Nancy organized the necessary process of obtaining a historical marker for the church. She was a part of the music team of the Cradle of Texas Emmaus Group and enjoyed helping provide opportunities for others to deepen their relationship with God by going on an Emmaus walk.

Nancy is survived by: her husband, Tommy Lane; daughter, Juliet Lane; mother, Mary Keller, all of Bay City; brothers, Evert E. Keller and wife, Pat of Portland, Texas and Don E. Keller III and wife, Dianne of Sugarland, Texas; one sister, Mary Jane McMillan and husband, John of Bay City; nephews and nieces, Margaret McMillan Anderson, Jeff McMillan, Don E. Keller IV, DeAnna Keller Ruedas, Kristina Keller, Evert O. Keller, Marilyn Keller; and numerous great nieces and nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 6 until 8pm Monday, February 25, 2008 at the Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at the First Christiana Church with the Rev. Arden Aldridge officiating. Interment will follow at Ashby Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jacob Halama, Evert O. Keller, Don E. Keller IV, Ian Anderson, Max Anderson and Jeff McMillan.

Betty Jane Legg

Palacios people regret to learn of the death of Mrs. Jane Betty Legg, mother of E. R. Legg, well known here. Mrs. Legg, who was 84 years of age, died in the County Hospital in Bay City, from burns she received when her clothing caught fire from an open gas heater at the home of her son, R. H. Legg, in Bay City, Wednesday, January 27.

Funeral services were held Friday at the Ashby cemetery, Rev. R. E. Black, of Markham, officiating.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Maudie Atkins of Bryan, four sons, R. K. Legg, of Newgulf, E. R. Legg of Collegeport, E. O. Legg, of Markham and R. H. Legg, with whom she has lived for the past 10 years in Bay City. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

J. E. Legg

J. E. Legg, brother of E. R. Legg, of this city, was found dead Tuesday morning in the Daisetta oil field where he worked. He was employed as a night watchman there, and the cause of his death is not certain, but it is thought that during the night he slipped and fell from a platform, receiving fatal injuries. He was 58 years of age and is survived by his wife, two daughters, four brothers, R. K. of Gulf; R. H. of Bay City; E. R. and Oecil of this place, also his mother.
