Clara Mae Gee

Funeral services for Clara Mae Gee, 80, of Angleton will be held at 1:00 p. m. Saturday, July 5, 2003, at 1st Missionary Baptist Church in Angleton with the Rev. Gerald Holland officiating. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Christian Cemetery in Cedar Lane.

Clara was born in Bay City, Texas on February 25, 1923. She was a resident of the Angleton area for 50 years, a member of 1st Missionary Baptist Church and a member of Eastern Star. Her husband, Mike Gee, and son, Don Gee, precede her in death. Clara passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2003, at a Sugar Land hospital.

Surviving are sons, Rayfield Gee and Tommy Gee of Houston; daughters, Patricia Felder of Missouri City, Kathleen Bass of Angleton and Diane Phillips of Angleton; 28 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Dorothy Marie Gee

Funeral services for Dorothy Marie Gee, 68, of Bay City, will be held 2 p. m. Saturday at First Sacred Memorial Christian Church with the Rev. H. S. Williams officiating. Burial will be at Bethlehem Cemetery in Cedar Lake.

Visitation will be until 9 p. m. at Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home.

Mrs. Gee was born March 11, 1924 in Cedar Lake to Callie Parks and Arthur Gee Jr. and died May 20, 1992 at Matagorda House.

She was a member of the Christian church.

She is survived by three daughters, Carolyn Gee Blackmon and Ethel R. Gee of Bay City and Vivian Davis of Hitchcock; four sons, Eunice Stevenson Sr. of Freeport, Gene R. Gee Sr. of Texas City, Ethridge R. Gee of Hitchcock, Arthur Gee Jr. of Bay City; 23 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a sister, Leona Williams of Corpus Christi and two brothers, Mike Gee of Angleton and the Rev. John Taylor of Houston.

Active pallbearers will be Mrs. Gee’s grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Eunice Stevenson Sr., Eldridge R. Gee, Asst. Chief of Police Mike Gee, Gene R. Gee Sr., Arthur Gee Jr. and the Rev. John Taylor.

Arrangements are with Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home in Bay City.

Estella Gee

Funeral services for Mrs. Estella Gee will be at 1 p. m. Saturday, March 29 at Bethlehem Christian Church in Cedar Lake with Rev. Kenneth W. Bree officiating and Rev. Karey E. L. Gee eulogizing.

A wake will be held from 7 to 9 p. m. Friday, March 28 at Dixon Funeral Home located at 1211 S. Brook in Brazoria.

Estella Gee was born to the late Rebecca and Karey Gee on Dec. 21, 1895 in Cedar Lake in Matagorda County. She was the oldest of four children. She acknowledged a belief and commitment to Christ early in life at the Bethlehem Christian Church, located in Cedar Lake. Her membership remained faithful until death.

Estella attended the Cedar Lake School and acquired the essential skills to demonstrate and exemplify a quality life.

Estella and Edward Gee were united in holy matrimony on Jan. 21, 1920. Mr. Edward Gee remains to mourn her passing. To this union six children were born: Bernice Williams, Edward W. Gee (deceased), Pearl Ree Edison, Samuel H. Gee (deceased), Rev. Karey E. L. Gee, and Franklin D. R. Gee. She also leaves three wonderful daughters-in-law: Vivian, Patricia and Jo Ann Gee. Mama Stella was the proud grandmother of 21 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. Her siblings include a loving sister Mrs. Bessie Woodard, Mrs. Frankie Gee (deceased) and Mr. Nathaniel Gee (deceased). A vast number of nieces, nephews, extended family members, cousins, and friends will cherish her loving memories.

Ethel Ray Gee

Funeral services for Ms. Ethel Ray Gee, age 42, of Hitchcock will be held Saturday, Feb. 24 at 2 p. m., at the First Sacred Memorial Christian Church in Bay City, with the Rev. Charles Roberson officiating, and the Rev. Andrew Floyd, presiding. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery in Cedar Lake.

Visitation will be Friday until 9 p. m. in the chapel of Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home.

Ms. Gee was born in Bay City Saturday, March 21, 1953, to Luther Tellison and Dorothy Gee, and died Saturday, Feb. 14, 1996, in Texas City.

She was affiliated with the Christian (Disciples of Christ) faith and was a 1973 graduate of the Bay City High School.

Survivors include her son, Michael D. Gee of Hitchcock, and a special friend, Jackie Massey. Also three sisters, Mrs. Jessie Dykes and Mrs. Carolyn Blackmon of Bay City, and Mrs. Vivian Davis of Texas City; and five brothers, her twin Eldridge (& Linda) Gee of Hitchcock, Eunice (& Betty) Stevenson of Freeport, Gene (& Rose) Gee of Texas City, A. C. (& Dora) Tellison, Arthur (& Mary) Gee, all of Bay City. Also three aunts, Mrs. Leona Williams of Corpus Christi, Mrs. Thelma Goldiad of Conroe, and Mrs. Daisy Tellison of Houston; and two uncles, Mike Gee of Angleton and Rev. John Taylor of Houston. Also three great-aunts, Mrs. Dorothy Parks and Mrs. Jessie M. Parks of Bay City, and Ms. Dorothy Gee of Cedar Lake. Also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers will include Eunice Stevenson, Jr., Joseph Stevenson, Al Jarreau Stevenson, Herman Davis, Jr., Richard Johnson and Ricki Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will include Eunice Stevenson, Sr., Tony Mayberry, Benjamin Scott, Sr., Oscar Mayberry III, Gene Gee and Larry Randle.

Frank James Gee Sr.

Funeral services for Frank James Gee Sr., 64, of Freeport will be Sept. 17, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church in Freeport Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery in Cedar Lake.

He died Wed. Sept. 11, 2002 in Houston.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Frank Ray Gee, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Jessie Arleta Gee, Freeport; 1 son, Arthur Gee (Suzett), Albuquerque, New Mexico; 2 daughters, Francine Gee, Mary Riggins, Freeport; 1 brother, Eunice Stevenson, Sr., (Betty), Freeport; 3 sisters, Tena Roberson, Cedar Lake, Maudie Swist, Van Vleck, Betty Hatter, Houston; and 6 grandchildren.

George Gee

Funeral services for George Gee, 67, of Cedar Lake, will be Saturday, September 28, 2002 at 11 a.m. at Bethlehem Christian Church in Cedar Lake with the Rev. Kenneth Bree officiating.

Burial will be in Bethlehem Christian Church Cemetery in Cedar Lake. He died September 20, 2002 at Brazosport Memorial Hospital in Lake Jackson.

He is survived by two sons, Greg Moore of Houston, and Anthony Wilson; mother-in-law, Elease Moore of Bay City; one brother, Willis Austin (Willie Mae) of Houston; two sisters, Lillie Bernard and Rebecca Austin of Cedar Lake; one aunt, Maude Hawkins of Sargent; three brothers-in-law, Will Moore (Lois) of Houston, Dolph Moore (Maude Ester), all of Bay City; sisters-in-law, Jewel Austin of Cedar Lake, Jewell Williams, Harriett Jammer, Gladys Burrell (Alfred), Johnny Brown all of Bay City; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Jessie "Mama Gee" Gee

Funeral services for Minister Jessie "Mama Gee" Gee, 66 of Freeport will be Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church in Freeport with Dr. J.V. Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery in Cedar Lake, Texas. She died Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at Brazosport Regional Health System in Lake Jackson, Texas. During her tenure she was the pastor of two Methodist Churches. She became a member of First Missionary Baptist Church where she ministered to the people in the community and served the Lord with gladness. She loved working with challenged kids and feeding the homeless. She was preceded in death by her father, Lyndsey Macklin, husband, Frank Gee, son, Frank Ray Gee, Jr., brother, Robert Johnson and sister, Maudie Dean James. She leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Anna Lee Wade Johnson, Marshall,TX, sons, Arthur L. Gee (Suzette), Albuquerque, New Mexico and Keith D. Bates, Brazoria, daughter, Francine Gee, Freeport, brother, John Johnson, Marshall, Tx, sisters, Angela Hawkins, Annie Johnson, Joyce Johnson and Sharon Wade all of Marshall, Tx, grandchildren, Sharon, Ashley and Elizabeth Gee, Albuquerque, New Mexico and Keinesha Anderson, Freeport, goddaughters, Jackie Cooper, Regina Hudson and Ruby Bonner all of Freeport and Annette West (Charles), Clute, dear friend, Pastor Erma Tolbert, Freeport and other relatives and friends.
