Gathering for 114th Annual Collegeport Day

Mopac House was the venue where residents and friends of the community enjoyed a relaxing day of fun, food and fellowship at the annual Collegeport Day homecoming. 2022 marked the community’s 114^th year. Each year since 1908, residents and friends have gathered to celebrate the founding of the community. 2020 is the only year the event was cancelled, due to Covid 19.

Sprawling shade trees and gentle breezes provided the perfect setting for the occasion.

Young folks enjoyed a bounce house while the older crowd focused more on conversation and renewing acquaintances. Serving tables laden with delicious side dishes and delectable desserts complemented the main course -- Collegeport’s traditional barbecued beef. 253 registered guests attended this years’ homecoming, and plans are in the works for Collegeport Day 2023. Collegeport Day is always observed on the last Saturday in May.
