Funeral services for Jeff Shelton Robbins, 85, of Matagorda will be held 1 pm Friday at Tyree Chapel A. M. E. Church, Bay City, with the Rev. T. J. Jammer officiating.  Burial will be in Eastview Cemetery, Bay City.

Visitation will be until 9 pm today at Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home and from noon to 1 pm Friday at the church.

Mr. Robbins was born March 2, 1903, in Caney, Texas to Abraham and Dinah Jones Robbins and died Oct. 10, 1988, at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston.

He was a member of the Methodist church.

Survivors include his wife of almost 50 years, Lena Baines Robbins of Matagorda; four daughters. Janie, Lillie, Frances, and Jeffrey; three sons-in-law, Raymond Warren, Elijah Mackey and Clavin Martin; six grandchildren, Brent Warren, Eric Warren, Cheray Marin, Kimberly, Charrisse and Nicole Mackey; four nieces, Margaret Austin, Ada Shannon, Robbie Robbins and Marva Tanner; two nephews, Richard Robbins and Frank Baines Jr. and several other relatives.

Pallbearers include Frank Delbert Baines, Hasley Baines, Gene Gartica, Harland Holt, Elijah Mackey Jr. and Raymond Warrern.

Honorary pallbearers include Brent Warren, Eric Warren, Richard Robbins and T. J. Williams.

Arrangements are with Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home, Bay City.

Hattie Roberts

Hattie Roberts, 90, a resident of Bay City, passed away at her home on December 15.  Survivors include: 1 daughter, Mrs. Jimmie Manning of Bay City; 3 sons, Eddie, Horace and Warren Roberts all of Houston; 44 grandchildren, 134 great grandchildren and 23 great-great-grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 20, at 1 pm at the Bethel Baptist Church in Bay City with Bishop J. Johnson officiating.  Interment will be at the Eastview Cemetery in Bay City.

Funeral services for Mae Dell Roberts, 73, of Bay City will be held at 1 pm Saturday at Mother Zion Baptist Church, Bay City, with the Rev. K. J. Griggs officiating.  Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery, Bay City. Visitation will be until 9 pm at Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home.

Mrs. Roberts was born June 27, 1913, in Dewitt County, Texas, to Tom and Letha Smith Lane and died Jan. 6, 1987, at Matagorda General Hospital.

Survivors include five sisters, Viola Johnson, Elva James, Ida Robbins, Ola Lane and Blanche Lane, all of Bay City; and several other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers include J. W. Bradford, Wells Clark, T. H. Edison, Ronnie Law, James Robertson and Donal Wilkerson, Jr.

Arrangements are with Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home.
