Funeral services for Helen Wiggins, 64, of Bay City will be held at 1 pm Tuesday at Tyree Chapel A. M. E. Church, Bay City, with the Rev. Roy Brown officiating. Burial will be in Eastview Cemetery, Bay City. Visitation will be until 9 pm today at Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Wiggins was born June 17, 1921, to Elijah and Susie Pettit Richardson in Bay City and died at 5:30 pm Oct 11, 1985, at Matagorda General Hospital. She was a member of the Methodist church. Survivors include three daughters, Kay Brown of Killeen, Renee Wiggins of Bay City and Kathy Wiggins of Houston; five sons, Josiah Wiggins Jr., Curtis Wiggins and Audrell Wiggins, all of Houston, Paul and Kenneth Wiggins of Bay City; a step-father, Vance Harkless of Bay City; three sisters, Bettye Pollard, Dorothy Marie Johnson and Ethel Mae Miller, all of Bay City; four aunts, Clemmie Jackson, Phoebe Simmons, Mrs. Q. V. Windle and Beulah Austin, all of Bay City; 10 grandchildren and several other relatives. Pallbearers include Otis Clark, Eddie Baugh, Tyderell Copeland, Randy Edison, Bill Roberts and James Robinson.

Emma Martin Williams Funeral services for Emma Martin Williams, 48, of Bay City, will be held at 11 am Saturday, August 21, 2004, Mother Zion Church in Bay City, with the Rev. K. J. Griggs, Pastor, and the Rev. A. H. Floyd, eulogist. Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery. She was born in Bay City, May 1, 1956, to Louis Martin and Dorothy Johnson Martin, and passed away August 12, 2004, at Matagorda General Hospital, Bay City. Survivors include: her parents, Louis and Dorothy Martin; one daughter, Tanesshia Green; son, Christopher Martin (Shameka), all of Bay City; five sisters, Lillie Hudgins (Walker) and Jennifer Martin, both of Bay City, Melinda McAfee of San Jose, California, Joyce Dugan of Arlington, and Nellie Odom (Ricky) of Corpus Christi; and two brothers, Louis Martin, Jr. of Bay City, and Lee Sorrell, Jr. of Houston; also three grands, three aunts, one uncle, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Arrangements are with Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Fred Williams, 73, of Houston, will be held at 2 pm Tuesday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, Bay City. Burial will be in Eastview Cemetery, Bay City. Visitation will be until 9 pm today at Duncan Roberts Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Williams was born Jan 15, 1912, to Alonzo and Martha Grice Williams and died July 24, 1985, at Ben Taub Hospital, Houston. A former resident of Bay City, he was a member of Jehovah’s Witness. Survivors include his wife, Willean Williams of Houston; four daughters, Mrs. Freddie Wilson, Inez Murphy, and Mary and Pearl Williams, all of Houston; four sons, Fred Jr., Luther, Aaron and Isaiah Williams; five sisters, Ary Lee Law and Mable Bryant of Houston, Alice Williams, Georgia Johnson and Laverne Pointer, all of Bay City; and six grandchildren. Arrangements are with Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home.
