Funeral services for Mrs. Lucille Bouldin, 84, of Bay City will be held 1 pm Saturday at Mother Zion Baptist Church with Pastor Elder Clifton Turner officiating.

Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home will have visiting hours Friday until 9 pm at the funeral home chapel. Quiet hours are from 7 to 9 pm and Bould will lie in state from noon to 1 pm.

Bouldin was born Oct. 12, 1903, in Live Oak, TX, to Henderson Bouldin and Rebecca Mathanie Bouldin and died in Herrick Memorial Hospital in Berkeley, CA. March 10, 1988. She was a member of The Church of God.

Survivors include four children, Mrs. Mildred L. Proctor of Oakland, CA., Ret. Command Sargent Major Adams B. Robbins Sr. of Junction City, KA., Kermit S. Robbins of Galveston and Mrs. Anita Perkins of Houston; her sister of Bay City Mrs. Margaret Thomas; two sons-in-law, Roddie M. Proctor Sr. and Ben Perkins Sr.; 21 grandchildren, several sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Active pallbearers include James E., Donald, and Harry Robbins, Elijah R. Simmons, James Perkins and Elson Darby III.

Honorary pallbearers include A. B. Robbins Sr., Kermit Robbins, Ben Perkins, Melvin Brown, Roddie Proctor, Savannah Bouldin, C. D. Bouldin, Wesley Bouldin, Roy Bouldin, Perry Lewis and A. B. Robbins Jr.

Arrangements are with Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home, Bay City.

Ida Lee Bouldin

Funeral services for Ida Lee Bouldin of Bay City will be held 1 pm Saturday at Enterprise Baptist Church with the Rev. A. H. Pointer officiating. Burial will be at Eastview Cemetery.  Visitation will be until 9 pm. today at Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home chapel.

Mrs. Bouldin was born Feb. 23, 1927 in Pledger to the late Henry and Dora Cooper Warren and she died Nov. 3, 1992 at John Sealy Hospital in Galveston.

She was a member of the Baptist church and a retired barber in Bay City.

Survivors include a sister, Susie Owens of Bay City; three daughters, Brenda Wilkerson, Rita Dykes and Janet Hart, all of Bay City; a son, Welton Bouldin Jr. of Phoenix, Ariz.; a niece, Kathy McNeil of Bay City; eight grandchildren, Billy Sean, Denise, Hart Lee, Regina, Todd, Tony, Wilson and Jenean; two great-grandsons, Allan and Chaz; a great niece, A‘Kendra and a number of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Welton Bouldin, and a daughter Billie Bouldin Williams.

Pallbearers will be Todd Chambers, Billy Sean Dykes, Hart Lee Dykes Jr. Wilson Hart Jr., Jesse Southall and Tony Southall.  Honorary pallbearers are Johnny Cooper, Ervin Davis, Hart Lee Dykes Sr., Wilson Hart Sr., Freddie Jackson and Wayne King.

Arrangements are with Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home in Bay City.

Funeral services for Gertie Amy Bowers, 91, of Bay City will be at 11am Friday, Feb. 12, 1999 at Mother Zion Baptist Church, Rev. K. J. Griggs officiating. Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery in Bay City. Visitation will be Thursday until 9 pm in Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel and from 10 to 11 am Friday at the church.

Mrs. Bowers was born in Rosenberg, Sunday March 24, 1907 to Dolph Amy and Sally Hanks Amy.  She died Monday, Feb 8. at Matagorda General Hospital.

She was a faithful and devoted member of Mother Zion Baptist Church, where she served in various capacities.  Her career experiences included serving the community and Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home as a beautician for many years.  Her great sense of humor and zest for life will always be remembered.

Mrs. Bowers is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Nathan Chappell and Doris Chappell of Houston, and a host of nieces and nephews; a family of friends including caretaker, Edna Tone of Bay City.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arvin Bowers on Sept. 13, 1998; and ten siblings.

Active pallbearers will be members of Mother Zion Baptist Church.  Honorary pallbearers will include friends of the family.

Arrangements are with Duncan Roberts Funeral Home of Bay City, Texas.
