William Lee Kilbride

William Lee Kilbride, the three-month-old infant of Mr. and Mrs. George Kilbride, died at the home of its parents in East Fisher street at four o’clock p. m. yesterday after a brief illness. He was a bright, pretty baby and the parents and little brothers and sisters are heartbroken over his passing. Their many friends are in deep sympathy with them.

The funeral will take place this afternoon from the home.

Coy B. Klaiber

Coy B. Kaliber, 58, of Wadsworth died May 22 in the Houston V. A. Hospital. Survivors include: wife, Lillian E. Klaiber of Wadsworth; three daughters, Patricia Lloyd of Jones Creek, Fay Burke of Lake Jackson, and Elizabeth Briggs of Bay City; five sons, Beauford Charles Klaiber of Wadsworth, Edwin Coy Klaiber of Bay City, Thomas Klaiber of Matagorda, Gerry Klaiber of Bay City and David Klaiber of Bay City; five sisters, Geraldine Bryant of White Pigeon, Mich., Nettie Cropinski of Orlando, Fla., Ruby Ray of Concord, Mich., Charlene Baker of Park City, Ill., and Lois Straubee of Harvey, Ill.; one uncle Charlie Caskey of Angleton; 11 grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at the Matagorda Cemetery Thursday, May 24, at 10 a. m. with Robbins P. Odom officiating. Taylor Bros. Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Gerry J. Klaiber

Funeral services for Gerry J. Klaiber, 37, of Markham will be held 10 a. m. Tuesday at the Taylor Brothers Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Herb Willke officiating. Burial will follow at Matagorda Cemetery in Matagorda.

Mr. Klaiber was born Feb. 9, 1954, to Coy B. and Lillian Emma Wolf Klaiber in Ann Arbor, Mich., and died June 15, 1991, at Matagorda General Hospital.

He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving in Vietnam, and was also a member of the Baptist church.

He is survived by his wife, Shiryl Lynn Carter Klaiber of Markham; daughter, Amanda Jean Klaiber of Markham; two sons, Coy James Klaiber Broadwater of Bay City and David Jarrett Klaiber of Markham; his stepson, Bobby Joe Kinchloe of Markham; mother, Lillian Klaiber of Markham; three sisters, Pat Klaiber of Austin, Fay Burke of Lake Jackson and Liz Dujka of Bay City; and four brothers, Charlie Klaiber of White Pigeon, Mich., Edwin Klaiber of Sweeny, Tom Klaiber of Matagorda and David Klaiber of Bay City.

Pallbearers are Bill Green, Punky Green, Doug Ryman, Tim Birch, Ricky Bush and Kenneth Wilson.

Arrangements are with Taylor Brothers Funeral Home, Bay City.

Edna Klingman

Mrs. Edna Klingman, wife of Mr. John Klingman, passed away at their residence here Monday morning at 6:10 o’clock after a long illness of heart trouble and complications only her husband being present when the end came.

Surviving her are her husband and daughter, Mrs. Coleman Stansell, two brothers: Arthur Sterry and Wesley Sterry of Matagorda; one sister, Mrs. Maude Bullock of Bellville and several nieces and nephews.

The remains will be interred in the Matagorda Cemetery this afternoon. Funeral rites by Rev. Paul Engle at the Christ’s Episcopal Church and concluded at the grave.

Mrs. Klingman has lived here practically all her life and was a member of Christ’s Episcopal Church. As long as she was able she assisted in church activities but owing to continued ill health had to give up her work long ago.

All of Matagorda extends deepest sympathy to the family…

John L. Klingman Of Matagorda Dies In Newgulf Thursday

Mr. John Lawrence Klingman, of Matagorda, died in Newgulf, Thursday, April 29th.

Mr. Klingman is survived by one daughter, Mrs. J. C. Stansell of Matagorda.

Funeral services were held from the family residence in Matagorda, Friday afternoon at 4:30. Reverend Lucien Malone officiated. Burial was in the Matagorda Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Willie Williams, Jimbo Williams, A. C. Davis, Ed. Baker, Ed. Layton and Gus Gottschalk.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Matchett-Newman.
