MADISON, Ala. - Ellen Lorene Harvey, 78, of Madison, Ala., and formerly of Houston and Bay City, died Monday, Feb. 24, 2003.

She was born Dec. 17, 1924, in Matagorda County, to the late Isaac and Lora Walker Posey.

Survivors: daughters, Tina Balm of Harvest, Ala. and Gay Randall of Houston; son, Lawrence B. Harvey Jr. of Bellvieu, Fla.; sisters, Annie Sparks and Muriel Savage, both of Markham, and Edith Mallard of Van Vleck; and seven grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: husband, Lawrence B. Harvey Sr.; parents; sister, Beulah Wernly; and brothers, Marcus Posey and Robert Posey.

Family visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home chapel.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Van Vleck, the Rev. Linda Maxey officiating.

Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Van Vleck. Taylor Bros. Funeral Home, Bay City, 979-245-4613.

R. C. “Reggie” Hayes

R. C. “Reggie” Hayes, 66, of Bay City, died Saturday, November 29, 1997.

He was born Dec. 29, 1930 in Goodway, Ala to the late Regunial and Willie Mae Hayes.  He was a retired employee of Celanese and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors: wife, Sarah Hayes; daughters, Gina Allshouse of San Antonio and Nancy McMullen of New Waverly; sons, Skipper Osborne of Bay City, Terry Osborne of West Columbia, Jimmy Hayes of Danbury and Danny Hayes of Sacramento, Calif.; sisters, Jeannette Madison and Joan McCarty, both of Pensacola, Fla.; brother, Harold Hayes of Pensacola, Fla.; and eight grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 pm Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church in Bay City, the Rev. Chester Sassman officiating.  Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck.  Taylor Brothers Funeral Home
