 Pierce's Hotel built in 1894 by rancher, Abel Head "Shanghai" Pierce next to the New York, Texas & Mexican rail line constructed from Richmond to Victoria 1881-1883. All that remains of the hotel is the widow's walk now located in the community of Pierce, Wharton County. |
