Patricia Ann Music-Shoemaker

Patricia Ann Music-Shoemaker of Van Vleck, was called home by our Lord on August 15, 2001. She was born November 2, 1942 in Prestonburg, Kentucky, to the late Lucy Miller-Humphreys and Denver Music. Formerly of Michigan and Virginia, Pat moved to Bay City in 1990 where she worked as a graphics technician at STPNOC since May of 1994.

She enjoyed playing her guitar, painting, farming and especially her grandchildren.

Suviviving here are: her two daughters, Sandra Shoemaker-Seay of Louisa, Virginia and Sheila Shoemaker-Mintz of Van Vleck; one brother, James Music of Van Vleck and four grandchildren, Luke and Elyza Jane Seay of Louisa, Virginia and Sarah and Samantha Mintz of Van Vleck.

Funeral services will be on September 15, 2001 at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Cemetery in Van Vleck, followed by a Celebration of Life at 3 p.m. held at the Masonic Temple, 3301 Avenue F in Bay City.

Special thanks go to the many friends who so lovingly helped during the course of her illness.

The family would also like to express their appreciation to the Houston Hospice of El Campo for their loving care, compassion, and support during the last weeks.

Joan Treadaway

Mrs. Joan Treadaway, age 65, of Alvin, Texas, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2000, in the Columbia Clear Lake Regional Medical Center, Webster, Texas.

Mrs. Treadaway was born on Oct. 8, 1934 in Italy, Texas, and was a former resident of Bay City, Texas, and a nine year resident of Alvin.

She was a homemaker and was a member of the Alvin Missionary Baptist Church.

Mrs. Treadaway was preceded in death by her parents, Garvin and Evelyn Knott.

She is survived by: her husband, Bob Treadaway of Alvin, Texas; daughters, Cindy Anderson and fiance Andrew Coz of Friendswood, Texas, Paula Richardson of Magnolia, Texas, sister and brother-in-law, Beth and Frankie Baros of Bay City; granddaughter, Sara Loessin of Corpus Christi; mother-in-law, Marsha Treadaway of Dickinson, Texas; also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2000 in Alvin Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Darrell Streeter officiating.

Interment was held at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Van Vleck, under the direction of Froberg Funeral Home.

Pallbearers included Lee Jackson, Perry Hutchinson, Donnie McCabe, Wayne Crozier, Troy Crowston, Richard James, Jerry Tallas and Harvey Yates.

Robert M. "Bob" Treadaway

ALVIN - Robert M. Treadaway "Bob", 76, of Alvin, passed away surrounded by his loving family. He was a kind and loving father, brother, and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Bob proudly served his Country in the Navy. He was in the Masonic Lodge for many years and retired from the petrochemical industry after 40 plus years of service.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Joan; parents Marsha and Floyd Treadaway and brother, Floyd Treadaway.

He is survived by his fiance, Shirley Carpenter; daughter, Cindy Coz and husband Andy; sisters, Gloria Crowston, Helen Klyng; sister-in-law, Louise Treadaway; brother-in-law, Frankie Baros and wife Beth; granddaughter, Sarah DeGanna and husband Josh; plus a host of other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be Monday, January 21, 2008, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Corl-Crowder Funeral Home in Pearland. Funeral service honoring Bob will be Tuesday, January 22, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. in Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck, Texas. Pallbearers will be Larry Crowston, Dale Crowston, Troy Crowston, Bobby Treadaway, Darren James and Richard James. Honorary pallbearers will be Frankie Baros, Andy Coz and Michael Treadaway.

Funeral services for Lisa Gay Warn, 17, of Markham will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Msgr. James Brunner officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park, Van Vleck.

A rosary will be said 7 p.m. today at Taylor Brothers Funeral Home in Bay City.

Miss Warn was born March 20, 1975 in Bay City to Camille Cornelius and she died Dec. 16, 1992 at her home.

She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic church and a senior at Tidehaven High School.

Survivors include her mother, Camille Cornelius of Markham; her grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. Daniel Cornelius of Markham; three aunts, Danelle Cornelius of Markham, Danette Poux and husband, Jim, of Waco and Dru Warn of Fulshear; and an uncle, Bill Cornelius and wife, Jill, of Bay City and two cousins, Melissa Warn of Fulshear and Katheryn Cornelius of Bay City.

Pallbearers will be Eric Kacer, T. John Crow, Tiler Curtner, Jeff Stewart, Chad Hurta and Nolan Savage.

Funeral Services were held for Dennis Gordon "Boss" Yates, 35, of Bay City, 2 pm today at the First Presbyterian Church.

Yates died April 13, 1982 at Matagorda General Hospital.

Survivors include parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Yates of Bay City; son, Trevor Thomas Yates of Sugarland; daughter, Denise Lee Yates of Sugarland; brother, Gary Yates of Bay City.  Burial followed services at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck.

Pallbearers included Bill Huebner, Glen Jarrell, Ronnie Elliott, Marcus Frazier, Jimmy Martin and Wayne Head.

Honorary pallbearers included The Bay City Wild Bunch Trail Riders.

Ellis K. Arrillano, 38, of Bay City passed away Friday, May 25, 2001.

He was born Oct. 18, 1963 in Bay City. He was a lifelong resident of Bay City, was employed as a boiler maker with Becon Construction and was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church of Bay City.

He is survived by: his wife, Toni Guzman Arrillano; children, Ashley K. Arrillano and Ellis K. Arrillano Jr. of Bay City; family members, Manuelita Garza of Bay City, Eddie Wilhite Cuna of Bay City, Donna Ruddick of Bay City, Maria Morales of Mexico, Diane Caeser of Houston, Angela Macias of Bay City, Carmen Wilhite of Bay City, David Wilhite Jr. of Bay City; and by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ellis K. Elkins, and by his grandparents, Rafaela and Encarnacion Andrews.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 29 at Emanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Candido Gonzales officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck.

Pallbearers will be Raymond A. Gonzales, Ted Menziaz, Aurelio Gonzales, Joe Andrews, Jody Andrews, Rene Cuna, Chi Cuna, Angel Garcia and Tracy Ruddick.

Frank G. Baca, 84, of Markham died Feb. 2, 2003 at The Legacy Nursing Home in Bay City, He was born on Oct. 24, 1918 in Hillje, Texas to the late Frank W. and Albina Polansky Baca. Mr. Baca was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Holy Name Society and the Knights of Columbus. He was a resident of Markham since 1953,a retired Pumper with Skelly and Getty Oil, a former longtime member of Matagorda Co. Livestock and Rodeo Association and a former member of the Markham Volunteer Fire Department.

Survivors include: wife, Mildred Mayer Baca of Markham; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Dwight Vavra of Markham; son, Michael Baca of Red Oak, Texas; and one grandson, Jonathan Vavra of Markham; sister-in-law, Nan Baca of Spokane, Wash.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Lillie Dornak and his brothers, Arnold, Fred, Edward, and Victor Baca.

Rosary was 7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003, at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Casey Jarzombek officiating. Interment followed at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Paul Allen, Lee Edward, and Lawrence Baca, Tom Dornak, Geren Roecker and Mondo Perez.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Heart Association.
