Funeral services for Shenequa Shanee Johnson, 48, of Brazoria will be Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 11 a.m., at Brazoria First Assembly of God in Brazoria with Pastor Dale Frankum eulogizing and the Rev. Gilbert Franklin officiating.

Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery in Cedar Lane, Texas.

Shenequa died December 14, 2013 at Houston Hospice in Houston, Texas.

Shenequa graduated from Van Vleck High School in 1983. After graduation she attended Brazosport College. Upon completion of studies at Brazosport, she pursued her bachelor’s degree and graduated from the University of Houston. Shenequa was employed at Dow Chemical Company as a purchasing specialist. She was also an instructor at Brazosport College for several years.

Shenequa was preceded in death by her father, Robert Earl Johnson, Sr.

Shenequa leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Jordan Alexandria Johnson of Missouri City; her devoted and loving mother, Bobbie Raye Johnson of Cedar Lane; siblings born to the union of Robert Earl Johnson, Sr. and Bobbie Raye Johnson; brothers, Garland Johnson, Sr. (Faye) of Brazoria and Robert Earl Johnson, Jr. of Lake Jackson; sister, Adrinne Johnson Turner (Gerald) of Missouri City; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Active pallbearers will be D’Angelo Franklin, Steven Franklin, Trevin Franklin, Warwick Franklin, Gerard Singleton, James Smith, Jr., Calvin Ward and Phillip Ward.

Honorary pallbearers will be Garland Johnson, Sr., Garland Johnson, Jr., Jeremy Johnson, Robert Johnson, Jr., Gerald Turner, Tyler Turner, Cedric Fields, Jerry Sadler, Sylvester Washington and Kevin Ward.

Visitation will be Friday, December 20, 2013 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria.

There will be viewing at the church on Saturday, December 21, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. There will be no viewing afterward.

Dewey Jones, 80, of Box 47, Cedar Lane, died at his home July 9, 1978. He was born May 5, 1896 at Cedar Lane. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank Jones and Minnie Spiller. A widower he is survived by two sisters Mrs. Annie Fields and Mrs. Lorena Brown of Cedar Lane and a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral will take place at Shiloh Baptist Church in Cedar Lane Saturday, July 25, 1978 at 2 p. m. with the Rev. H. T. Aldridge officiating. Interment will be at Shiloh Cemetery in Cedar Lane under the direction of Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home. Pallbearers include Nelson Brown, Hilliard Fields Sr., John Brown, Eugene Fields Sr., John Henry Woodard and Donald Fields Sr.

E.L.) of Houston; three grandchildren, Alyssa Farrow, Jordan Farrow, Jwana Hudson-Massey and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

Jones, Earl Wilson, 70, died March 9, at his home in Cedar Lane. Funeral services will be held Sunday 1:30 P. M. Shiloh Baptist Church with the Rev. F. J. Thompson officiating. Interment will be in Shiloh Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Sarah Jones, seven daughters: Mrs. Ester Williams, Mrs. Carolyn Stone, Mrs. Vivian Bell, Mrs. Ida Mae Woodard, Miss Rosa Jones, all of Bay City, Mrs. Thelma Sanches, Galveston, Mrs. Addie Mae Jones, New Mexico. Julia Lynn Fields Jones, 62, of Bay City, Texas (formerly of Cedar Lane, Texas) passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, in Houston, Texas.

Visitation and guest book registry will be Friday, December 1, 2023, from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel in Bay City.

She was born in Matagorda County, Texas, Thursday, December 6, 1928, to Daniel White and Minerva Taylor White and passed away Sunday, October 13, 2002 in Houston, Texas.

She was a very kind person and will be missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include, her special niece, Wilma (J. D.) Gatson of Bay City; two brothers, Kelly White of Houston, and Jerry White of Sacramento, Calif.; also a host of nieces and nephews.

Her nephews and cousins will serve as pallbearers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.

Charles Roberson, Sr.; sister-in-law, Lorena Brown; 34 grandchildren; 72 great-grands; 17 great-great grands; and an enormous host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was a kind person who will be missed by those she touched through nursing, friendliness and love.

Survivors include: four sons, Charles Jones of Garland, Texas, Abner Adkins, Andrei Jones and Welton Jones, all of Bay City; and six grandchildren Shanina Sowells, Andrei Jones, Rosalind Jones, Andrei Jones, Jr., Sandrei Martin and Sterling Jones; one great-grandchild, Areon Jones; three sisters, Edna Simon and Elouise Jones of Houston, and Mary Lee Jones of California; one brother, Willie Jones, Jr. of Houston; also nieces and those who were like daughters, Eddie Marie Ellis, Glenda Lane, Belinda Simmons, Frankie Cole and Joy Lynn Patterson; god-daughter, Talma O'Neal and god-son, Jhoilian Cole; special cousins and friends, Earl Griggs, Ada Lou Hill, Robert Jones and Priscilla Girtman; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
