MCKAY, HADLEY EDGAR, JR. "MAC"

Hadley Edgar McKay Jr. (Mac) passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2004.

He was born in Ottawa, Kansas on September 2, 1923 to the parents, Hadley Edgar, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Hickman McKay.

“Mac” was a WWII Veteran serving in the Air Force. He was a member of the VFW, First United Methodist Church of Bay City, and a lifetime member of the American Legion.

Survivors include: son, Phillip Hadley McKay of Horseshoe Bay, Texas; daughters, Sue Anne Cameron of Phoenix, Arizona; Jeanne Naiser of Bay City, Texas; Donna Friedrich of Cocoanut Creek, Florida; sister and brother-in-law, Virgie and Jack Weinheimer of Tulsa, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Malynn Ashcraft, Elizabeth Williams, Tammie Slay, Ben Cameron, Tim McKay, Phil McKay, Jr., Shelley Naiser, Jayme Naiser, Stuart Faulkner, Chelsea Friedrich, and Graeme Friedrich; also survived by 11 great- grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, wife, Myrt McKay; brother, Clifton McKay; sisters, Goldie Hutton, Inez Pennel, and Jessie Nichols. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 4, 2004 and Thursday, February 5, 2004 at Bay City Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 6, 2004 at First United Methodist Church at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Pauline Harvey officiating. Interment will be held at Hawley Cemetery in Blessing.

Services are under the direction of Bay City Funeral Home.

The family asked that donations be made to Hospice of Matagorda County. Please contact Pat Matthes of Bay City.
