Dobbins, Martin

Martin Dobbins was born in Montgomery County, Virginia, on May 18, 1796, to Abner Dobbins and Mary Kirk Dobbins. He married Mary Nancy Elliott, August 24, 1818, in Montgomery County, Virginia. Ten children were born to this union: Levinia, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Parthenia, Floyd, Andrew, Gordon, Eliza, Octavia, and William.

Martin died in 1877 and was buried in Brush Creek Cemetery where several other Dobbins are buried. It is located on Dobbins Hollow Road near Pilot on the Dobbins farm.
