Ada Sumpter
Dickerson, age 84, a native of Floyd, died at her home Saturday morning.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ivan L. Dickerson; two sons, Allen
Jackson Dickerson and Sheldon (Dickey) Dickerson. Surviving are two
daughters, Jean Dickerson, Christiansburg; Mrs. Carl (Alice) Davis,
Martinsville; three sons, R.G. Dickerson, Moneta; Lewis Dickerson,
Roanoke; Earl Dickerson, Vinton; thirteen grandchildren; eight
great-grandchildren. The funeral will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the Wood
Funeral Home, Floyd, with Mr. Ralph Stewart officiating. Interment will
be in the Camp Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made
to the Christiansburg Rescue Squad. The family will receive friends from
2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday at Wood Funeral Home,
Floyd.

M. Dickerson, Fort Bliss, Texas; two sisters, Jean Dickerson,
Christiansburg; Mrs. Carl (Alice) Davis, Martinsville; three brothers, R.G.
Dickerson, Moneta; Lewis Dickerson, Roanoke; Earl Dickerson, Vinton. The
funeral will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Wood Funeral Home with Mr.
Ralph Stewart officiating with interment in the Camp Creek Cemetery. The
family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday at Wood Funeral
Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, 900
W. Adam St., Jacksonville, Fla., 32204.
