He was retired from G. & R. Guttering.
He was the son of the late Joseph S. and Vada Conner Alderman and was
preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Cox and three brothers, Pete, Fred
and Edward Alderman.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Jean Alderman, Greenville, Tenn.; two
sons, Russel Alderman, Post Falls, Idaho, Jason Alderman, Greenville,
Tenn.; one daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Mark Hatcher, Greenville,
Tenn.; three grandsons, Adam, Austin, and Alex Hatcher, Greenville, Tenn.;
five sisters and two brothers-in-law, Ruth and Bill Austin, Ruby and Daryl
Sloan, Irene Alderman, all of Christiansburg, Clara Williams of Stuart, and
Rosetta (Judy) Reynolds of Meadows of Dan; two brothers and one sister-in-law,
Frank and Louise Alderman, Bassett and Joseph Alderman Jr. of Lusby, Md.;
three half-sisters, Beulah Linkous, Floyd, Edna Marshall, Loula Mae
Cockram, Vesta; several nieces, nephews, and aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Maberry Funeral Home
Chapel, Floyd. Burial will be in the Conner Cemetery, Willis. The family
will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Maberry Funeral Home

Jean Alderman, 84, of Greenville, passed away suddenly at her home on
Saturday, May 22nd.
She was a member of Greenville First Church of God. She retired from Food
City on the Asheville Hwy.
She is survived by her sons: Russ Alderman and special
friend Connie, Jason (Julie) Alderman; her daughter: Teresa (Mark) Hatcher,
all of Greenville; four grandsons: Adam (Blair) Hatcher of Nashville,
Austin Hatcher of Kingsport, Alex (Ashley) of Greenville, and Lane Doane of
Greenville; three great granddaughters: Chloe, Emma and Lucy Hatcher; two
brothers and sisters-in-law: Fred and Joyce Hubbard of Martinsville VA,
Hubert and Jean Hubbard of Willis VA; an aunt, several cousins, and nieces
and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Glenn Alderman;
sister and brother-in-law: Wanda and Mutt Hylton, and her mother and
father: Ellis and Edith Hubbard.
Family will receive friends Tuesday from 3-6 pm at
Jeffers Funeral Service Downtown and Wednesday at Maberry Funeral Home in
Virginia from 1-2PM. The Graveside service will be at 2:30PM at Conner
Family Cemetery with Pastor Howard Nester officiating.

Herbert Roy Hylton. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Melinda
Ann and Robert Riggs, Bassett, Janice and Lewis Craddock and Cynthia Jean
Hodges, both of Ferrum; son, Lonnie Roy Hylton, Willis; three brothers,
Herman Hancock, Marvin Hancock, Junior Hancock, all of Bassett; two
grandchildren, William Craddock, Ferrum, and Kenny Riggs, Bassett. A memorial
service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 1, 1999, at Stone
Mountain Baptist Church, Laurel Fork, with Rev. Jeff Woods and Rev. Michael
Sutphin officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials
be made to the American Diabetes Association, 3433 Brambleton Avenue, SW,
Roanoke, Va. 24015. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
Maberry Funeral Home, Floyd, is in charge of arrangements.
