Burleigh Mallone Dalton
   Madison Heights, Amherst County, Virginia Burleigh Dalton, 73, of Madison 
Heights, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2008 at Fairmont Crossing. He is 
survived by his wife, Myrtle Harris Dalton. Born March 27, 1934, in Lynchburg, 
he was a son of the late Ernest and Rosa Thornhill DALTON. He was retired from 
Lynchburg General Hospital as a Maintenance Mechanic and was of Lutheran 
Faith. He was also preceded in death by a son, Danny Ray Neighbors and a 
brother, Walter DALTON.

Survivors also include three children, Belinda Swecker and husband, Butch, of 
Glen Allen, Tracy Ference and husband, George, of Austin, TX and Terry DALTON 
and wife Betty, of Rocky Mount; two brothers, Ernest L. DALTON, of Lynchburg 
and Bobby DALTON, of Ocala, FL; two sisters, Corrinne Cohen and husband 
George, of Lynchburg and Barbara Towler, of Ocala, FL; four grandchildren, 
Tina Swecker, Tonya Pruden, Jared and Scott Ference and a great-granddaughter, 
Hannah Weidenhamer, other relatives and friends.  A graveside service was 
conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
