Deward J. Montgomery, 82 of Hillsville, passed away on March 8, 2010. He was preceded by his wife Phyllis Dalton Montgomery; mother Stella Jennings Montgomery; and father Daniel Levi Montgomery. Survivors include sons Steven D. Montgomery and Gary W. Montgomery; daughters Rebecca M. Carlson and Susan M. Dalton; one sister and brother-in-law Audra and Connie Richardson; A private family burial was held Friday, March 12, 2010.
