Emily Adams Dalton   (1923 - 2007)
     Gretna, Pittsylvania Co. VA
Emily Adams Dalton, age 84, of  Derby Road, Gretna died Tuesday, November 6, 
2007 at her residence. Born October 21, 1923 in Pittsylvania County she was a 
daughter of the late Oscar Adams and Aggie Dalton Adams. Mrs. Dalton was 
predeceased by her husband, Noel Gatewood Dalton, a brother, Vincent Adams and 
a sister, Madaline Shelton. She was a member of Weatherford Primitive Baptist 
Church and was a retired clerk with Harris Teeter.
She is survived by one son, Garith Dalton of Gretna; one daughter, Joyce Clay 
of Gretna; four sisters, Jacaline Shelton of Altavista, Rose Johnston of 
Lynchburg, Linda Thacker of Forest and Agnes Brumfield of Dublin; five 
grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Burial was in Carl O. Moran 
Memorial Garden.
