Harold O. Dalton
	Gretna, Pittsylvania Co., VA
Harold Oscar Dalton, age 87, died Monday, March 17, 2008 in Gretna.  Born Nov. 
26, 1920 in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of the late Jabe Dalton and 
Carrie Ellis Dalton. He was predeceased by a daughter, Lisa Gaye Dalton; a 
brother, Calvin Dalton; four sisters, Thelma Tuck, Regina Jones, Edith Moore, 
and Gladys Ballenger. He was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church, a farmer, 
and was a retired employee of Burlington Mills. Mr. Dalton was an Army veteran 
of World War II, a member of American Legion Post 232 and VFW Post 4165.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Loraine English Dalton, of the 
residence; one son, Mark Dalton of Penhook; one brother, Jack Dalton of 
Gretna; and a sister, Juanita Elliott of Gretna. Interment with military 
honors by VFW Post 4165 and DAV Chapter 46 was in Gretna Burial Park.
