James Berkely Dalton

 James Berkeley Dalton, 79, of 25 Taylor Road, Collinsville, VA died Sunday, October 25, 2009 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville/Henry County. He was born on August 27, 1930 in Bassett, VA to the late Berkeley A. Dalton and Myrtle Dalton. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Duggins Dalton and one brother, Calvin Dalton.

Mr. Dalton was a member of Stone Memorial Christian Church and served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked for Fieldcrest Mills as a loom operator for 48 years.  Surviving are his daughter, Jennifer Dalton DiMaro of Martinsville; one son, Ricky Dalton of Columbia, SC; one sister, Ruth Dalton Barrow of FL and three grandchildren, Carmine DiMaro, Geremia DiMaro and Cristiano DiMaro.  Burial will be at Roselawn Burial Park.
