Lula Ramsey Dalton Gretna, Pittsylvania County, Virginia Lula "Pete" Ramsey Dalton, 76, of Gretna, died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008, at Gretna Health and Rehab Center. Born Feb. 26, 1932, in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Garner Edwin Ramsey and Ida Mae Hogan Ramsey. She was predeceased by her husband, Grady Lee Dalton Sr.; a brother, Ollie Ramsey; a grandson, Brandon Dalton; and a great-grandson, Joey Hendrick. She was an active member of Sycamore Baptist Church, a graduate of Gretna High School, class of '49, and was an avid lover of yard sales and cook books. She is survived by three sons, Grady Lee Dalton Jr. of Gretna, Jimmy E. Dalton of Gretna and Ronnie Dalton of Victoria; three daughters, Yvonne Wells of Chatham, Kathy Dalton of Rockford School Road, Gretna and Ramona Oliver of Charlottesville; one brother, Billy Ramsey and wife, Shirley, of Gretna; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 12, 2008, at Sycamore Baptist Church. Burial followed in Gretna Burial Park.
