Margie Marie Lewis Chaney, 88, of Bassett and formerly of Patrick County, died 
Monday, Nov. 19, 2007.  She was born in Patrick County on July 7, 1919, to 
John Robert Lewis and Onie Elizabeth DALTON Lewis. In addition to her parents, 
she was preceded in death by her husband, Hampton "Hamp" Chaney; four 
brothers, Early, George, Bergen and Lonnie Lewis; and two sisters, Irene Bragg 
and Hallie Woodall.
Surviving are a sister, Ruth L. Hudson of Collinsville; a brother, Harvie B. 
Lewis of Patrick Springs; and a number of nieces and nephews.  Burial was in 
the Lewis family cemetery.
