Mary Hallie (Dalton) Sutphin

Mary Hallie Dalton Sutphin, 92, of Roanoke, Va., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 18, 2008. Hallie was born in Pulaski County. She moved to Roanoke in 1948 and was a charter member of Brentwood Baptist Church. In addition to her parents and several siblings, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leland Sutphin. Surviving are two sons, Wayne Sutphin, of Knoxville, Tenn., and David Sutphin, of Roanoke; three daughters, Evelyn Miller, of Roanoke, D'juna Wilhelm, of Yorktown, and Judy Wilson, of Winston-Salem, N.C.; a host of grand, great-grand, and great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Plenty Dalton, of Pulaski. Graveside services were held Monday, December 22, 2008, at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens,
