- 1844 Tomlinson Mansion, Laurel Road, Stratford, New Jersey photo submitted by Carole Dadino, Stratford New Jersey Historian This is the current house with an 1848 family photo superimposed over the house.  Carole has been workig with Heartland Developers, trying to save a part of the 1844 Tomlinson Mansion, on Laurel Road, Stratford. They want to bulldoze it down to build a 10 million dollar senior housing complex. During our last meeting, I believe we came to an acceptable compromise. They will remove the front of the building and number the pieces. Then, they will reassemble the original front over their new building. They will even build a new cupola, on the roof.
