  4. TAYLOR - McCLAIRA (or McCLARY). Researching John M. Taylor and his wife Iva McClaira/McClary and ancestors/decendants in FRANKLIN CO. Lived near Columbus in 1840. Lived in Iowa in 1860 census. Four of their sons signed up in the Union army there. My 2nd Gr grandfather, John W., and his twin brother William E. (b. 1840), their brothers were Joseph, Jacob Harvey, Clarence, James and a sister Helen. Also researching my 2nd gr grandmother Mary A JACOBS family possibly lived in the same area as Taylors.     My G-G-Grandfather Jacob Howery b: 11 Feb 1814 in Ohio m: Sarah Elvira Thomas 23 Jun 1836 in Shelby Co, IN. It is believed he was born in Butler Co, Ohio. Any information on Howerys in Butler Co. in the early 1800's would be greatly appreciated.

  9. THOMPSON - GUSTIN (Samuel & Priscilla) My husband's ggrandfather, Malie Monroe Jackson, was born in Montgomery Co. OH in 1835, and married Amelia Jane Thompson in Monroe, Butler Co. OH in 1856. Amelia's father was Samuel Thompson, and her mother was Priscilla Gustin. Both Samuel and Priscilla died about 1836..cholera and heartbreak.   11. THOMPSON - WEIDE. I have information about a William J. Thompson born Dec 13, 1845 in Butler Co. Ohio and died December 17, 1915. He was married to a first wife Mary Jane Weide who was born in 1844 and died in 1873. They had three children. Ida F. born 11-15-1867 died 6-17-1943. Franklin Blair born 6-13-1869 died 12-6-1953. Cora A. born 4-17-1871 died 8-15-1953. William Thompson married for the second time to Cynthia J. (Busby) born 9-16-1846 died 3-17-1926. They had one son Ursel Bert born 1-8-1884 died 1969. I am tracing back my grandmother's maiden name. (On my mom's side). Her name was Mildred E. Thompson born 10-23-1902 died 3-5-56. She married Harold E. Reavis on November 15, 1924.
