How to Post a Surname to the Register

Guidelines for Registering a Surname:

1. Please post only surnames of those who lived in Champaign County.
2. Note that queries submitted to Champaign Co will have any surnames found in all caps automatically cross-referenced on the surname registry. For these surnames there is not much to be gained by also submitting a request to register that surname.

Surname Registration Process:

1. Enter your surname registration by clicking here.
2. The surname registration will be sent to me via e-mail.
3. It will also be posted to the Recent Queries page.
4. It will also be sent to the Clark-Champaign Cos. Ohio E-Mail Discussion List.
5. I will post your registration on the Champaign County Surname Registry and Index page and Researcher's Profile page, generally the Friday following your submission.
