Messrs. Malcom Fitzgerald, Curtis and Johnnie Shelton, Miss Rose Ellen Hanson and guests, visited in the Hanson home last week.

Miss Katherine Hanson visited Mrs. Walker Wednesday and Thursday.

After spending a week in Dallas, Sina Jane Hanson returned home.

Paul Hanson spent the week in Bay City as guest of his aunt, Mrs. Clyde DeRoche.

Miss Katherine Hanson, Johnnie Hanson, Charles Walker, James Martin visited in Pledger Friday night.

Miss Marion and Georgia DeRoche of Bay City spent the week end in Ashwood.

A group of young folks from Bay City, Pledger, Boling and Wharton enjoyed a dance in the Hanson home Saturday night.

Miss Marie Looche, of Wharton, spent the night with Miss Katherine Hanson, Mildred Walker and Sina Jane, and Messrs. George M. Walker, B. W. Martin, John Hanson, James Martin visited in Pledger Sunday evening.

Mr. Wm. Miller visited in Ashwood last week.

Miss Marion DeRoche returned to her home in Bay City Monday.

Mr. Geo. M. Walker, Jesse Walker and Billie Gernand visited in Houston and Galveston on business Tuesday.

Mrs. Jesse Walker and daughter, Jessie Lee, and Mrs. C. E. DeRoche and daughters, Marion, Jane and Dorothy Nell visited in the Walker and Hanson home Tuesday evening.

Mr. Eugene Rhoda is plowing on the J. W. Davis farm.

Mr. B. W. Martin and B. W. Jr. and Miss Katherine Hanson were business visitors in Wharton last week.

Mr. Bill Havel and sister, Miss Margie, were recent callers in Ashwood.

Mr. George W. Walker and Miss Margie Havel  and Miss Kathryn Hanson and Bill Havel visited in Pledger last week.

Mr. Johnnie Hanson visited in Pledger last week.

Mr. Malcom Fitzgerald and Miss Katherine Hanson and Miss Rose Ellen Hanson visited in the Fitzgerald home in Boling Sunday afternoon.

Mr. B. W. Martin Sr. and B. W. Martin Jr., Misses Bertice and Katherine Martin visited in Wharton last week.

Mr. House and family have moved to Pledger.

Misses Eva and Helen Smith attended a banquet at Palacios Friday night.

Mr. B. W. Martin Jr. and Miss Katherine Hanson were Wharton visitors Saturday evening.

Miss Bernice Walker spent the night, Saturday, in the Hanson home.

Mr. Malcom Fitzgerald was a visitor in Ashwood Sunday.

Mr. Morris Walker was a Bay City visitor on business Saturday.

Mr. John Hanson visited in Pledger Sunday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Davis and daughter, Mrs. Albert Rhoda, were visitors in Palacios last week.

Mr. and Mrs. Allen, of Needville, were business visitors in Ashwood last week.

Messrs. Geo. Walker, Johnnie Hanson, Misses Katherine and Sina Jane Hanson, Mildred Lucille and Vera Walker visited in the Schlic home at Pledger Friday night.

Mr. Parker has replaced Mr. McDougall as section foreman.

Miss Katherine Hanson gave a dance for Messrs. Bill Walker, Jesse and Ester Bush, J. W. Hathaway of Fort Sam Houston, last Saturday night. Buch Turner, J. W. Hathaway, George Walker furnished the music.

Mrs. C. E. DeRoche and children visited home folks here Sunday evening.

Mr. Charlie Walker left Monday for the C. C. C. camp.

Mr. and Mrs. Kelley were business visitors in this section last week.

Ashwood

The 4-H Club girls were entertained at the home of Mrs. T. C. Dodd Friday night. Games, songs and plays were enjoyed. Hot cocoa and cookies were served to the following guests who were present: Mrs. Leola Cox Sides, home demonstration agent; Mr. and Mrs. Clark and children, Mrs. Brown and children, Mrs.. Walter Thomason and daughter, Miss Ruby South, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Walker and daughter, Jessie Lee, Sina Jane and Paul Hanson, Lucille and Vera Walker.

Malcom Fitzgerald and Willford Merritt and Miss Rose Ellen and Katherine Hanson were visitors in Rosenberg and Cleat Thursday night.

Edward Horn of Freeport and Clete Gouth of Guy, were visitors in Ashwood Sunday evening.

Mrs. McSparran and daughters were visitors in Ashwood Monday.

Mrs. Parker has moved into the section house.

Le Roy and Malcolm Fitzgerald visited in Ashwood last week.

Mr. and Mrs. Grady Puryear and children are staying at the Smith home at present. Mr. Puryear is working in West Columbia.

James Martin, George and Norris Walker and Misses Mildred and Vera Walker enjoyed a party and dance at the Harvath and Jones home in Pledger Saturday night.

Mr. and Mrs. James Chastun and son, of Bryan, arrived Wednesday to visit until Sunday with relatives here.

Mr. and Mrs. Davis and daughter of Cedar Lane, have moved here.

Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Dodd and children are visiting in East Texas.

Miss Mildred Walker and James Martin, Geo. Walker, Norris Walker attended a party at Miss Ivy Fondren's home last week.

Misses Sina Jane and Katherine Hanson gave a dance in honor of their aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. James Chastun.

Miss Eva Smith was a Houston visitor recently.

Miss Rosalee Gernand visited home folk here Monday.

Malcom and Le Roy Fitzgerald visited in Ashwood the past night.

Bill Zigo and Mr. House of Pledger, spent Sunday here.

Melvin Menking, Joe Pievot and Misses Nola Menking and Zelma Clayton, of Pledger, visited in the Geo. Walker home Sunday.

Johnnie Hanson visited in Rosenberg Sunday.

Mrs. C. E. DeRoche visited her parents here Sunday.

Jake Lincecum, of West Columbia, was a caller in the Hanson home Sunday.

Miss Rose Ellen Hanson, who was visiting in Rosenberg arrived home Monday night to spend a few days before going to Houston, where she will take a business course.

Misses Rose Ellen and Katherine Hanson visited their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. P.? Chastun on their 53rd wedding anniversary.

Miss Katherine Hanson visited in Rosenberg Monday evening.

George Robert Brown was in Ashwood on business Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Walker and daughter, Vera, Miss Katherine Hanson and Morris Walker were shopping in Bay City Saturday.

Miss Sina Jane Hanson and Miss Vera Walker entertained with a party at the Hanson home. A number of friends from Pledger were present.

Miss Eva Smith is improving following an illness.

James H. Chastun was ill Saturday.

Bill Zigo, John Hanson and Jerry Malodic visited in Pledger and Ashwood the past week.

Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Walker visited in Ashwood Sunday, returning to Bay City Sunday evening. They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Hatchett.

Miss Mildred Walker of Bay City was the guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Walker, Sunday.

Miss Katherine Hanson and Leroy Fitzgerald visited friends in West Columbia Thursday evening.

Miss Rose Ellen Hanson of Houston spent the week-end at her parents’ home in Ashwood.

Mr. and Mrs. F. Muth and family spent the weekend with their daughter, Mrs. J. H. Chastun, of here.

Mrs. Jess Walker and daughter returned to her job in Bay City Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Jim Davis gave a dance in honor of her niece, Miss Mary Armstrong, of St. Louis, Mo., which was enjoyed by the crowd.

Mr. Bill Havel was a guest in the Hanson home Saturday night.

Mr. Fred Gernand and Jack Gernand, Misses Sina Jane Hanson, Vera and Lucille Walker and Mrs. A. Hanson went to church in Bay City Sunday night.

Mr. A. Hanson went to work Monday morning for the railroad.

Mrs. C. E. DeRoche and family were Ashwood visitors Sunday.

Mr. Leroy Fitzgerald was in Ashwood Tuesday evening.
