Private Eugene Warren [August __, 1895 – May 13, 1918] was born to William Warren [June __, 1873 - ____ __, ____] and Laura [Kimble] Warren [December __, 1875 - ____ __, ____] at Pledger, Matagorda County, Texas.  He died at the Base Hospital, Camp Travis, San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas on May 13, 1918 of Pneumonia, lobar, left lower lobe complicated by Acute Bronchitis [Probable Spanish Flu].  He was attached to Company 70, 18th Battalion, 165th Depot Brigade, 36th Division. (T Patch). He is buried in the Pledger, Texas area, the location of the grave is currently unknown.  Besides his parents he was survived by one brother.  As best as can be determined from available records his family was living at Pledger, Texas when he joined the Army and when he died.  He gave his occupation as farmer on his draft registration card.  It is unknown where his parents are buried.
