ABURNEmily Jane19 Oct 185221 Oct 1852 On the 19th instant, after a painful illness of three weeks, EMILYJANE [ABURN], aged 12 months, infant daughter of Johnson B. and Emily Jane ABURN.
Her cheek is flushed with fever red;
Her little hand burns in my own;
Alas! and does pain rack her sleep?
Speak, for I cannot bear that moan.
Yet sleep, I do not wish to look
Again within those languid eyes;
Sleep, though again the heavy lash
May never from their beauty rise,
Tears, tears! I shame that I should weep;
I thought my heart had nerved my eye;
I should be thankful and I will-
There, there, my child, lie down and die.

ABURNSusanna22 Sept 186724 Sept 1867ABURN- On the 22n instant, after a lingering illness, which she bore with Christian fortitude, SUSANNAH, wife of John Aburn, in the 74th year of her age.
Jesus, while our hearts are bleeding
O'er the spoils that death has won,
We would, at this solemn parting,
Calmly say--Thy will be done.

Though cast down, we're not forsaken,
Though afflicted, not alone;
Thou did'st give, and Thou hast taken,
Blessed Lord, Thy will be done.

Though to-day we're filled with mourning,
Mercy still is on the throne;
With thy smiles of love returning,
Help us to say--Thy will be done.

By thy hands the boon was given,
Thou hast taken but thine own;
Lord of earth, and God of Heaven,
Evermore--Thy will be done.
The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend her funeral this (Tuesday) afternoon, at half past three o'clock, from her late residence, No. 2 Thames street.

ALLENJohn Edward11 March 191112 March 1911Mr. J. Edward Allen, 37 years old, an engineer with the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, died after a short illness early yesterday morning at his home, 424 East Randall Street. He was relieved at that point, and after returning to his home in this city summoned his family physician, who diagnosed the case as one of pneumonia. Mr. Allen came to this city in 1899 from Charlottesville, Virginia, and entered the service of the Baltimore and Ohio as a fireman. He was promoted to the post of engineer within a short time and since then had been considered one of the company's most trusted employees. He is survived by a widow (Mrs. Ida M. Allen), one son (Leslie Allen) and two daughters (Isabelle and Margaret Allen). His father, who also survives him, is an engineer on the Baltimore and Ohio. Mr. Allen was an active member of Division No. 97, Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, and of Fort Avenue Methodist Episcopal Church.
