Dearest mother thout art gone
From sin and sorrow free
Those two loving eyes are closed in death
That often gazed on me
Farewell, my children dear.
To weep for me is all in vain
Christ is my hope, you need not fear
We all shall meet agian.

Its hard, dear mother, to part from one we loved so well,
To part from thee on earth to meet no more,
It seems this house can never be
The place it ws before.

Oh bring to us our mother, asleep in death;s embrace, For never can another fill up the vacant place
Oh never can another in the cold world be found
With heart so warm and gentle and voice of pleasing wound
-By her children.
