MANKEN, John H.Eleanor M GREEN25 Apr 1894MANKEN GREEN At North Point Methodist Episcopal Church South, Wednesday evening, Mr. John H. Manken was married to Miss Eleanor M. Green by Rev. Wm. Melville. The bride wore pearl-colored cloth, with hat to match, and carried La France roses. The ushers were Vincent Creamer and W. Herbert Gorsuch. Miss Mary Todd, of Highlandtown, played the wedding march. The church was most beautifully decorated. The chancel being adorned with evergreens and pretty bridal wreaths, the b\pulpit was banked with narcissus, and the organ with hyacinths. Potted plants were also used in the decorations. The couple stood beneath a large floral bell formed of pink and white roses. The bride is the daughter of Mr. Josiah Green, of Baltimore, and granddaughter of Mr. Abraham Stansbury, of this county. The groom is a hatter on South Broadway. Mr. and Mrs. Manken will live in the city.28 Apr 1894Balto. Co. Democrat

A double wedding was celebrated Wednesday at 9 A.M., at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Highlandtown, in which the contracting parties of each couple served as best man and best lady, respectively, for the other. Miss Annie Baetz, daughter of Mr. John Baetz, of 811 Rose street, East Baltimore and Mr. John Reissig composed one couple and Miss Margaret Reissig, an orphan and cousin to John Reissig, and Mr. John Foertsbecker, the other. The ceremonies were accompanied by a solemn nuptial mass, of which Rev. John Klang was celebrant, with Rev. Joseph Stolz as deacon and Rev. Bernard Niehaus subdeacon. The two brides were becomingly gowned in steel gray cloth with lace trimmings and carried Marechal Niel roses. The ceremony was performed at the parsonage of St. Mark's Catholic Church, Catonsville, by Rev. F. E. Dunn. Miss Mary Reardon was the bride's attendant, and Mr. N.W. Ruppert, brother of the groom, acted as best man. The bride wore a gown of blue serge cloth, trimmed with velvet and black feathers.
