Funeral services for Mary “Bit” Edwards, 94, of Bay City will be held at 1 pm Friday at Mother Zion Baptist Church, Bay City, with Dr. S. B. Parker, moderator at large, officiating.  Burial will be in Eastview Cemetery, Bay City. Visitation will be until 9 pm today at Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home and noon to 1 pm Friday at the church.

Mrs. Edwards was born Sept. 13, 1892, to Arthur and Parthenia Harris Green and died Sept. 6, 1987.

She was the district worthy matron for the Order of the Eastern Star and was a member of the Pilgrims, Courts of Calanthe and the Baptist church.

Survivors include a foster son and daughter-in-law, Harry L. and Thelma Edwards of Houston; five sisters, Catherine Routt and Annie Bell, both of Needville, Justine Murray of Rosenberg, Elnora Lee of Dickinson and Willie McGarrety of Yoakam; two brothers, Ed Murray of Needville and Gile Green of El Campo; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Arrangements are with Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home.
