Nila Louise Fraley, 77, of Bay City, TX was born on December 28, 1925, in Akron, Ohio to James and Rita Ervin and she passed away on March 1, 2003 in Bay City, TX.

Mrs. Fraley is preceded in death by her parents, James and Rita Ervin.

She is survived by her loving husband Robert Leland Fraley of Bay City, TX. Daughters: Roberta Louise Isbell of Duvall, Washington, Deborah Ann Fraley of Issaquah, Washington, Rita Lee Rawlings and husband John of Matagorda, TX. Grandchildren: Jason Isbell, Elizabeth Baker, Matt Isbell, Ian Isbell, Brittany Koonce, Kellye Koonce.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Kwame Khalil Franklin
December 26, 1995 - October 14, 2016

Funeral services for Kwame Khalil Franklin, 20, of Sweeny, Texas, will be held at Saturday, October 22, 2016, at 3 p.m., at Greater Mt. Zion Church in Brazoria, Texas, with Elder Roland Hendricks, pastor, and the Rev. K.W. Bree, eulogist.

Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery in Cedar Lane, Texas.

Visitation and guest book register will be Friday, October 21, 2016, from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m., at Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel in Bay City, Texas.

He was born in Bay City, Texas, December 26, 1995, to Steven Franklin and Gwendolyn Griggs Franklin, and passed away October 14, 2016, in Houston, Texas, following an automobile accident.

Kwame was a 2014 graduate of Van Vleck High School, and was currently employed as Emissions tester with Phillips Petroleum Company in Old Ocean, Texas.

Survivors include his parents, Steven and Gwen Franklin; one sister, Stephanie; one brother, Cameron; his grandparents, Murray Griggs Jr. (Charlene), Angel Franklin and Charlie Wright (Jo Ann); also a host of aunts and uncles; and an enormous family of cousins, other relatives and a family of many, many friends.

Lawnie Sidney Franklin

Funeral services for Lawnie Sidney Franklin, 83, of Bay City will be held 1 p. m. Monday at the Shiloh Baptist Church in Cedar Lane with the Rev. C. W. Floyd officiating. Burial will follow at the Shiloh Cemetery in Cedar Lane.

Visitation will be held until 9 p. m. Sunday at Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home.

Mrs. Franklin was born Jan. 13, 1909 to Alex Sidney, Sr. and Lovie Spiller in Cedar Lane and died Thursday [February 16, 1992] at Matagorda House.

Franklin was affiliated with the Baptist church and was a resident of the Live Oak Community.

Survivors include one adopted son, Leroy Sidney of Cedar Lane; three step-children, Mrs. Bernice Campbell of Galveston, Mrs. Jimmie Turner of Los Angeles and William Franklin of Cedar Lane; two sisters, Mrs. Ester Boston of Bay City and Mrs. Maudrine Fields of Cedar Lane; four sisters-in-law, Mrs. Ada Henderson and Mrs. Alice Sidney of Cedar Lane, Mrs. Alice M. Sidney of Houston and Mrs. Delois Sidney of Galveston; three brothers, Alex Sidney, Jr. of Cedar Lane, Melvin Sidney of Galveston and Carlous Sidney of Los Angeles and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

William Franklin, Jr.

Funeral services for William Franklin, Jr., 76, of Cedar Lane, will be held at 2 p. m. on Saturday, June 21, 2008, at Mother Zion Baptist Church, Bay City, with the Rev. Murray Martin, pastor, and the Rev. Gilbert Franklin, eulogist. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery in Cedar Lane.

Visitation will be from 2 until 8 p. m. Friday, June 20, at the chapel.

He was born in Live Oak, Texas, December 23, 1931, to Wash Franklin and Bertha Jones Franklin, and passed away June 13, 2008, at his residence.

Survivors include: his wife, Willie Franklin of Cedar Lane; five daughters, Roni Williams, Linda Green, Celita Wright, Paula Franklin and Anna Alexander; and two sons, Robbie and William “Chu” Franklin. Also two sisters, Bernice Campbell of Galveston and Jimmie Lee Turner of Las Vegas, Nevada; 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Clevella Marie Fields Gray, age 68, of Bay City passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021 in Bay City.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 7, 2021 at Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel. 

Services will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Enterprise Baptist Church with burial to follow at Shiloh Cemetery, Cedar Lane. 

Survivors include her husband, Dennis Gray; two sons, DeShawn Fields (Terrell) and La Torrie Fields (Roberta); thirteen grandchildren, which includes (Shawn’s Clan) Aubrey, Trevon, Taija, Trinity, Tia, Tamuary and DeShawn, Jr. and (La Torrie’s Clan) Fabian, La Torria, Ky’Asia, La Torrie, Jr., Tavarius and Elizabeth; five great grandchildren, two sisters, Lillian Fields Sidney and Regina Fields Medina; three brothers, Russell Fields, Cleveland Fields, Jr., and Herbert Fields (Helen); four aunts, Eddie Lou Griggs, Betty Plummer, Wilada Green, and Ida Emmanuel and an enormous host of other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleveland and Alma Johnson Fields; and one brother, Chester Fields
