QUINNEY, FRANK JAMES

Quinney

Frank James Quinney, 79, of Markham was born Oct. 15, 1915 in Markham, Texas to Frank and Annie Butchert Quinney. He departed this earth Oct. 12, 1995 at the V. A. Hospital in Houston.

He was a member and served as a deacon of the First Baptist Church in Markham; was a veteran of WWII; and a lifelong resident of Markham. He was a retired Gauger, having worked for Marathon Oil Company for 27 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife, Mary Morgan Quinney on May 8, 1990, and his beloved grandson, Douglas W. "Doug" Quinney on Oct. 29, 1994.

He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Liz and Tommy Farthing of Markham; by a son and daughter-in-law, Grady and Betty Quinney of Markham; by two sisters; by one brother; by two grandsons, Frank J. Quinney of Markham and Morgan E. Farthing of Wichita, Kansas; by three granddaughters, Tracey Bull and her husband, Randy, of Bay City, Teri Farthing of Houston, and Tamra Quinney or Markham; by a granddaughter-in-law, Nikki Quinney of Palacios; by four great-grandchildren, Tara Bull of Bay City, Kyle and Kayla Quinney of Palacios, and DeJon Sardenia of Markham; and by numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are scheduled for 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, 1995 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Chapel with Rev. Joe Ramsey and Rev. Howard Harper officiating. Burial will follow at the Hawley Cemetery in Blessing.

Pallbearers will include Billie Mack Williams, C. W. Rush, David Bradley, Pete Medina, Bob Frick, and Pat Patterson. Honorary pallbearers include M. G. "Bully" Sparks and Claude Jenkins.

Arrangements are with Taylor Bros. Funeral Home in Bay City.
