ELECTED-James Wallace Costigan Post, American Legion, met Monday night and elected a Board of Trustees to take the place of the old Executive Committee which was done away with several weeks ago. Trustees are Taylor Anstead, Conrad Matz and Eugene Daly. Members of the post were addressed by Dr. W W Anderson, who served as major in the Medical Corps of the American Army during the late war. Dr. Anderson told of his experience in the army.

DIES-Eugene G Daly, 87, father of Arthur J Daly, claims attorney for the Green Line, died Thursday at his home, 635 E Third Street, Newport. His wife, Bettie, died one year ago Friday after the couple had celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary earlier in the year. Mr. Daly a retired painter, had lived in Newport more than 40 years. He was born in Louisville.

He took great pride in the fact that he was the oldest member of James Wallace Costigan Post, American Legion. His eligibility was gained through service in World War I. He was an Army sergeant. Mr. Daly leaves another son, Charles A Daly, engineer with the Electric Auto-Lite Corp, Cincinnati; five daughters, Mary, Elizabeth, Eugenia, Marguerite and Maude Daly, at home and three grandchildren. The Muehlenkamp funeral home, Newport, is in charge of arrangements.
