YEAMANS – GRANT

When pastor W. L. Shepherd returned to his home Wednesday night after the annual congregational meeting at the Presbyterian church, he found awaiting his arrival, Mr. C. S. Yeamans and Miss Fern Grant, both well known young people of the city, who were there for the one purpose of being united in the bonds of wedlock, in the performance of which ceremony Rev. Shepherd is especially adept, and in a very few moments the two waiting hearts were pulsating as one. Immediately after the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Yeamans left by auto for Blessing where they took departure on the Brownsville train for Texas City where they will make their home, and where Mr. Yeamans has a good position.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. J. E. Grant, of this city, and has grown from a girl to womanhood in this city. She is known to well-nigh all the people of Palacios among whom she is held in high esteem and much admired. The groom has been a resident of the city for some time and is a young man of splendid qualities and has many friends here who join with all the friends of both bride and groom in wishing them happiness, long life and prosperity.
