Agriculture has been the backbone of Dinwiddie County since its earliest days. This section explores the county's rich farming traditions, highlighting the crops cultivated, the families who tilled the land, the youth organizations that fostered agricultural education, and the historical maps that chart the evolution of the landscape.

Dinwiddie County’s agricultural heritage comes to life through its proud tradition of 4-H and FFA programs, showcased on the 4-H & FFA community page. These youth-led initiatives have long been the heart of rural education, leadership, and hands-on learning in the county—nurturing generations of young farmers, civic leaders, and community stewards.
