To all &c Whereas &c Now Know ye Now Know ye (sic), that I the Said Sr. William Berkeley &c give and grant unto Sr. Thomas Luntsford Knt. & barronett three thousand four hundred twenty three acres of Land, being upon a Bay on the South side of Rappa. begining at a marked tree of the Eastermost part of the Bay runing into the Woods two hundred fifty and Six poles East and by South upon the Bay side, Southwest and by west one hundred Poles South and by west two hundred poles South South west Eighty poles South west halfe a point Westerly two hundred and twenty poles, west South west halfe a point Southerly one hundred poles west by South one hundred and twelve poles to a Small Gutt west and by North halfea Point westerly two hundred and four poles North west one hundred and twenty poles, North North west one hundred Eighty four poles North and by west one hundred Sixty four poles to a Marked Spanish oake ha_eing a Little Islans? lyeing of East and by North into the Woods from the Said oake west and by South three hundred and twenty poles and from thence for Latitude into the Woods pararell to the Courses on the Bay, the Said Land being due unto the Said Sr. Tho. Luntsford by and for the Transportation of Sixty & five persons into the Colony &c To have and to hold &c To beheld &c Yeilding &c which payment is to be made Seven yeares after ye first grant or Seating thereof &c Dated ye 24th of October 1650.

To all &c whereas &c: now know ye that I the Said Richard Bennett Esqr. &c give and grant unto Dame Eliz: Lunsford five hundred Acres of land Scituated in the County of Lancaster uppon the South Side of Rappa: River bounded as followeth beginning at a marke'd Oake, which Standeth near Rappa: River Cource and upon the west by South side of Matchepungo Creek Extending a long the River, west by South 250 pole to a marked Oake, which devides this Land and the land of Coll. Ralph Wormly deced into the Woods, South by East 32 pole to three marked Oakes and so parrerlell wth: Rappa: River, East by north 250 pole to a marked Oake wch: Standeth on the head of a Southerne branch of Matchepungo Creek, which devideth this Land and the Land of John Benton decd and downe ye said Branch and Creek North by west, to the place where this tract of Land first begann The said Land being formerly granted unto Saml: Abbott by pattent dated the 22d of December 1642 and by the said Abbott Assigned unto the said Dame Eliza. Lunsford, And also Confirmed to her by the Govern: and Councell dated the day of these Prsents To Have and to Hold the said Land &c Yeilding and paying &c which payment is to be made Seaven years after the first grant or Seating thereof and not before provided &c Dated the 8th of June 1654.

To all &c whereas &c now Know ye that I the said Edward Diggs Esqr. &c give and grant unto Dame Elizabeth Lunsford Five hundred Acres of Land Situate on the South side of Rappahannock River adjoining unto the uper side of the Land of John Benton Beginning at a White Oak formerly marked with three notches on Each side, Standing by the side of the bank of the point of an Island, being on the Westward side of a Creek now Called Matchepungo Creek and runing parallel to the said Bentons Land South by East into the woods and upon Rappahannock River 250 Poles upon a West by South Line unto a Line of marked trees which began at a small pochickory Standing near the bank of the River & run South East into the woods 358 poles & thence East by North 250 poles unto a marked red oak the aforesaid bounds including the said 500 Acres Allowing the Angle upon the River for the Waste that lieth between the Island and Colo. Lees Plantation the said Dividend of Land being by the said Lady Lunsford Called Brandon? The said Land being formerly granted by Patent unto the said Dame Elizabeth Lunsford bearing date the 6 of June 1654. Wherein it accreed? due unto her by Assignment from Samuel Abbot who Patented the same the 22nd of December 1642 and also confirmed unto her by Order of the Quarter Court bearing date with this Patent To Have and To Hold &c yielding and paying &c Which Payment &c dated the 3rd of June 1656.

Marguritte Lady Culpeper Thomas Lord Fairfax and Catherine his Wife Proprietors of the Northern Neck of Virginia To all to whom this present Writing Shall Come send Greeting in our Lord God Everlasting Whereas James Lunsford of ye County of Stafford upon his Suggestion of a Certain Quantity of Land belonging to us in ye sd. County of Stafford wch. is not Yet Granted Did on ye twenty Ninth Day of March one thousand Six hundred and Ninety Nine Obtain a Warrant from our Office for Laying out ye same and having now Returned a Survey thereof under ye hand of Mr. Nicholas Brent Surveyor Know Yee Therefore that we for & in Consideracon of ye Composicon to us paid & ye Annuall Trent hereafter Reserved have Given & Granted & Do by these presents Give & Grant unto ye said James Lunsford one hundred and twenty Nine Acres of Land Lying & being in ye County aforesaid & bounded according to ye sd. Survey as followeth Vizt. Begining at Richd. Rossers Corner Tree next ye Land of Majr. Richd. Heaboard Deceased Extending into ye Woods by a Line of Mark't Trees West one hundred and twenty one poles to ye Indian Cabin Branch Thence Down ye sd. Branch according to ye Severall courses thereof to a White Oake a Corner tree of Doctr. Richard Bryant's thence along ye sd. Bryants Line East halfe North one hundred & thirty three poles to a mark't Red Oake a Corner tree Thence North Six Degrees West one hundred fourty four poles to ye first begining Together wth. all Rights Members & Appurtenances thereunto belonging Royall Mines Excepted & ye full third part of all Lead Copper Tinn Coals & Iron Mines that Shall be found thereon To have and to hold the said one hundred and twenty nine Acres of Land Together wth. all Rights profitts & Benefitts to ye same belonging or in any wise appertaining Except before Excepted to him ye sd. James Lunsford his heirs & Assignes for Ever He ye sd. James Lunsford his heirs and assignes therefore Yielding and Paying to us our heirs or Attorneys of our heirs or Assignes proprietors of ye sd. Northern Neck Yearly & Every Year on ye feast of St. Michaell ye Arch Angell ye fee Rent of one Shilling Sterling Money for Ever fifty Acres of Land hereby Granted Provided That if ye sd. James Lunsford his heirs or Assignes shall not pay ye before Reserved Annuall Rent so that ye same or any part thereof shall be behind or unpaid by ye space of two whole years after ye same shall become Due if Lawfully Demanded that then it Shall & may be Lawfull for us our heirs or Assignes Certain Attorneys or Agents into ye above Granted premises to ReEnter & hold ye same so as if this Grant had never passed Given at our Office in Lancaster County Within our sd. proprietory under our Seale Witness our Agent & Attorney fully Authoriz'd thereto Dated ye twenty fifth Day of January in ye fourth Year of ye Reign of our Sovereign Lady Anne by ye Grace of God of England Scotland Frances & Ireland Queen Defender of ye faith &c Annoz Dom 1705.

James Wood Esquire, Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, To all To Whome these Presents shall come Greeting:  Know ye That by virtue of a Land Office Treasury Warrent, Number eleven thousand eight hundred and sixty issued the twenty seventh day of April one thousand seven hundred and eighty two, there is granted by the said Commonwealth unto Reuben Lunseford a Certain Tract or parcel of Land containing eighty Acres by Survey bearing date the fifteenth day of June one thousand seven hundred and ninety five, lying and being in the County of Bath on the North side of Sedlingtons Creek adjoining Thomas Galford and bounded as followeth to Wit Beginning at three Pines, North eight degrees West forty poles to two white oaks, North forty degrees West twenty poles to two white oaks South eighty eight degrees West forty eight poles to a Pine, North sixty degrees West thirty six poles to two white oaks & a pine, North twenty seven degrees East, twenty poles to a pine and two Servcies?, North sixty seven degrees East sixty four poles to a white and Servcie?, South eight five degrees East one hundred and twenty six poles to three white oaks South forty seven degrees West one hundred and forty poles to the Beginning With its appuertenances; To have and To Hold the said Tract or parcel of Land with its Appurtenances, to the said Reuben Lunceford and his Heirs forever In Witness whereof the said James Wood Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia hath hereunto set his Hand and Caused the lesser Seal of the Said Commonwealth to be Affixed at Richmond on the third day of August in the year of Our Lord on thousand seven hundred and ninety Seven and of the Commonwealth the twenty second.

James Monroe Esquire Govenor of the Commonwealth of Virginia to all to whom these presents shall come Greeting Know Ye, That by virtue of a Land office Treasury Warrant Number thirteen thousand and seventeen issued the twenty ninth of July one thousand seven hundred and eighty two There is Granted by the said Commonwealth unto Isaac Lunsford A Certain tract or parcel of land Containing forty six acres by Survey bearing date the fifteenth day of (the Third month) March, one thousand eight hundred, lying and being in the County of Nansemond, a little below Shoulders hill and bounded as followeth to wit, beginning at a small red oak, in James Lockarts line a corner tree of the land of Samuel Ives deceased, thence along said Lockarts line, North seventy degrees West sixty three and a half poles to an old dead white oak, corner of said Lockart's in a line of Solomon Sheppard deceased, thence with said Shepherds line, North twenty one degrees East seventy three poles to a hollow black Gum, thence north sixty two? degrees East fourteen poles to a white oak in Wakefields corner thence along said line North seventy one degrees East eight poles to a sweet Gum, thence South eight seven degrees East eighty poles to a small pine a corner tree of Wakefields in said Samuel Ives line, thence along his line, South thirty four degrees West one hundred and sixteen poles straight to the first station, with its appurtenances to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with its appertenances to the said Isaac Lunsford and his heirs forever, In witness whereof the said James Monroe esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia hath hereunto set his hand and caused the lesser seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed at Richmond, on the seventeenth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and one and of the Commonwealth the twenty fifth,
