Born in Campbell County Aug 1, 1896. Inducted in Campbell County Apr 29, 1918.  Served overseas July 22, 1918 to Mar 24, 1919.  Severely wounded Sep 12, 1918 on Alsace Loraine or Boyat and taken to base hospital on 30 at Royal France where he remained until Jan 6, 1919.  Moved through several other hospitals including New York hospital upon his return from overseas in March 1919.  Honorably discharged May 3, 1919.  0% disabled.

(looks like 6 was typed over a 7).  Served overseas from June 14, 1917 to March 3, 1919.  Severely wounded July 21, 1918.  Also wounded Oct 21, 1918.  Apparently wounded again Nov 26, 1918.  Listed on causality list of June 9, 1919. Citation for gallantry in action (but no warranting any decoration) June 1, 1919.  Died of disease.
