Dinwiddie County, Virginia Database

We are fortunate to have people who have made a great effort to get available data relating to Dinwiddie County families online and we have a number of new projects already working.  The complete 1920 Census is already online and we have just completed a linked surname index to make searching the 1920 Census a bit easier.  The 1870 Census has also been purchased for the Archives and an index is being prepared.  To make it easier to navigate between the Dinwiddie Co. page and the Archives, the search engine is configured to search both.  You will just need to use your back link on the browser to navigate seamlessly between the two databases.  Please do consider sharing  any information you might have in your own files to the Dinwiddie Co. database.  It is a great way of finding distant cousins and adding to your own research.

Note:  This page will change frequently as we re-link some of the material already online and organize other data.  Again, if looking for a name, use the search engine until we get it properly organized and linked.
