BIBELHAUSEN, CONELIS, CORNELI, KURTZ, KURZ, MAIERS, MURRAY, STEIN posted by Mary M. Ferm on Wednesday, March 11, 1998

Im looking for information on the BIBELHAUSEN, CORNELI, KURTZ and STEIN families in Brown County in the 1850s and 1860s. John BIBELHAUSEN is in the 1850 Brown County census, age 64, from Germany. His daughter, Catharine's marriage record gives Catharine "CONELIS / CORNELI" as her mother. Their immediate neighbor, Peter STEIN age 28, has living in his household one "Catharine CONELIS" age 73. Could she be the mother-in-law of John BIBELHAUSEN and Peter STEIN's father Nicholas, age 58 also next door? John's other children were: John Jr., Gertrude, Froneker(Veronica) and Joseph. Catharine BIBELHAUSEN married in 1856, in green bay, Joseph Peter KURZ of New Denmark (b. 1820 Prussia). Their children were: Phillip, John, Catherina, Jacob, Phroney (Veronica), Anton, and Peter. Catherina married 1st John MAIERS, 2nd (probably in Bismark) Lindley Byron MURRAY. She moved to Oregoon with LB Murray where she died in 1909.

Possibly I am looking for a marriage in Green bay, about 1837 between Charles and his bride, Angeline ? (possibly BOYER?).

Cowles about 1846, they are on the 1850 Mackinac, MI census. MCDONALD posted by Linda Heron on Friday, April 17, 1998

I am looking for any information available on the following family: Elizabeth McDonald B. 23 May 1893 in WIS, D. June 1978 in Green Bay, Brown Co., SS# 394-12-5873 Mary MCDONALD B. 27 Oct. 1894 in Wis, D. 6 March 1988, in Green Bay, Brown Co., SS# 389-68-9422 Unknown Boy McDonald Born in Wisconsin (brother of Elizabeth and Mary). I believe these are the children of my Great Aunt Elizabeth (McLeod) and Henry McDonald. I believe Elizabeth and Henry were married in either Merrill or Milwaukee. I am looking for census information on this family, birth and/or death registrations, descendants, and even any living relatives. Elizabeth came from Gamebridge, Ontario, Canada around 1893, and because I wasn't able to find any marriage registration here in Ontario, I am assuming they may have married in Wisconsin.

FEZATTE, FEZATTS, FISETTE, FIZETTE, LAROQUE posted by Caryl Vehring on Monday, May 11, 1998

Am seeking any and all possible information on FIZETTE (also spelled FISETTE, FEZATTS, FEZATTE, etc.) Information indicates that Lewis Fizette from Canada married Mary LAROQUE from MI in Green Bay in July of 1836. They had two sons Lewis Jr. born 1836 and John born 1838 in Bay Settlement, WI. The marriage of Lewis and Mary is mentioned in the book "Wisconsin Creoles" because Mary was of Menominee Indian descent. The name is spelled Fisette in the Menominee Indian Annuity Payments of 1849. Would appreciate suggestions on churches in the area in the late 1830 time period that might have records of the marriage or the birth of their sons, or churches that would have taken charge of records from an older church. Would almost assume it would be a Catholic Church with the French/Indian background. Any information or suggestions would be very much appreciated. John, the younger son, is my great-great grandfather.

BLOCHOWIAK, PAHUCKI posted by Maggie Sanderson on Saturday, May 23, 1998

Searching for info on my gg grandparents Frank L. and Barbra BLOCHOWIAK. They lived in Brown County in and around Eaton from @ 1870-1915). This is what I know. Frank L. born in Poland @ 1829 and came to US in 1871. Barbra arrived in 1872 probably with the older 2 children. According to 1880 census they were living in Eaton Wis with children Mary b 1864 Poland, Anton b 1865 Poland, Michael b 1874 WIS, Anna b 1876 WI and Stanislas b 1879 Wis. Both his and her parents born in Poland (Germany) Frank and Barbra were married in Poland in 1863. 1900 census - He was a farmer with a mortgage and had a grandson Frank b Oct 1889 living with them. Also Stanislaus (now called Stanley) is still living at home. I know that Barbra was still alive in late 1915 ( I have dated photo) but have nothing on Frank and can only guess he was dead by then. I also know that at the time of Anna's death (as Anna Blochowiak PAHUCKI) in May 1930, she was survived by her brothers Anton (possibly called William), Michael and Stanislas all living in Eaton or Green Bay Wisconsin. I got this from her obituary in South Bend Indiana paper. I also have wedding photos of Michael and Stanislaus with handwritten name of each of the brides as Mary. Would really like to know when and where my gg's died /buried etc. but without firmer dates the Vital records dept cant help me. I have tried to read 1910 Fed census but copies are so faint I cant see anything. Also the local Nara is missing the Brown county census for state census of 1895. Do you have access to it? Also Where could I find the names of the local newspaper or Catholic church from Eaton area for that timeframe?
