MELLERA, VAN BEVER, VINCENT posted by Karla on Sunday, November 5, 2000

I am looking for information about these family names. Specifically, information about Joseph J. VINCENT and his wife Pelagie nee MELLERA. They had three children. Constance, Anton and Matilda. The parents were buried in the Spiratulist Cemetery outside of Luxemburg. Then there was Florian VAN_BEVER (an not sure of the spelling of his name). His sister married a Verdell. (could this be Vertelle?)Sounds like they may have lived around New Franken. Florian married the young girl that was doing the housework for the family. A quick wedding in the Catholic Church in Tonet. Then a quick annulment. This young woman came with her baby to do housekeeping for another family. She married the son and he adopted the daughter. His name was Anton Vincent and his wife was Ida. If these stories or names sound familiar and you can add or clarify things for me, I would greatly appreciate it.

HARTFORD posted by Patricia Eckardt on Tuesday, November 28, 2000

I am trying to locate my GrGrGrandfather, James HARTFORD. He shows up on the 1900 and the 1905 Census in DePere, and then I lose him. I have checked with Vital records and they have checked from 1905-1924 and have not found a death record for him. In 1900 his address was 408N. Bdwy and in 1905 according to the Census he owned his own home. He was living with one Anna Hartford and a step child, Blanche Burgess who was born in Wisconsin Sept. of 1892. I am trying to determine if he was still in your area for the 1910 Census, if he died, if he moved, or what happened to him. Is there someone who has access to directories? There is another problem here, as there appears to be another (not mine) James Hartford in that area, and to make it worse, in the 1920 Census that James Hartford's son shows up and his name is James also!.. My James Hartford was born in Dulbin in 1844. Can someone help me with deterimining if he is on the 1910 or in that area at that time?

DORAN, RYAN posted by Jan Ryan-Berg on Saturday, December 9, 2000

I am researching the Michael RYAN (1798-1879) and Margaret DORAN Ryan(1816-1902?) family of Rockland. They emigrated in 1857 from Cty Tipp, Ireland with children Michael, Mary, Daniel, John, Thomas, Patrick, Johanna/Judith and Philip. Also traveled with Michael Doran, and several other Doran relatives were thought to have emigrated to the same area. I know that Mary Ryan married Dennis Ryan about 1860, and that Daniel and Philip married and had children. My ggf John moved to Escanaba and had a large family. Would like to correspond with any family-willing to share info.

BRADLEY, DRISCOLL, KANE, MCMAHON, SCARRAH, SMITH, SMYTH posted by Penny on Monday, December 18, 2000

Philip MCMAHON, is it said, lived in Brown County... possibly in DePere. He came from Meath County Ireland with his parents and siblings through NY and settled in Waukesha. Philip married Mary KANE (father James Kane). Kane's and McMahon's land was situated close together. Some of Philip's children were Mary (married Thomas BRADLEY of Manitowoc Co.), Anna (married Andrew SCARRAH of Marinette Co.) and possibly a son named Eugene and one named Philip. Philip might have re-married in his later years to a Mary DRISCOLL. Philip's parent's names may be Owen McMahon and Mary SMITH (SMYTH). Any confirmation or additional information would be greatly appreciated.

BRUESKEY, CLARK, ELLIS, KUSKE posted by Renee J. (Clark) Reinke on Sunday, March 18, 2001

Searching for information on my Grandfather's Family. Grandfather's name was Charles Luvern CLARK, born Nov. 25, 1890 in Greenleaf. Need to find his records and his parent's names. We think his father was John Luvern or Luvern Clark. We think he married to either a Catherine ELLIS or a Frances KUSKE or BRUESKEY. His mother passed away when he was only 19 and his father left Wisconsin for perhaps Montana or Wyoming. The date of her death would be somewhere around 1909. Have been to the cemeteries in both Greenleaf and Wrightstown without finding anything we could work from. If anyone knows of any Clark families that settled in the Greenleaf or Wrightstown areas we would love to hear from you.

I have seen residents of some institutions listed in census records, so it would also be very helpful to know its location.
